The guy is a fecking disgrace. Doesn’t score, doesn’t create and doesn’t even fecking run.

Guy is a prick, walking around the pitch with no fight. As though he is doing us a favor by playing.
I know Chelsea would have sold him by now if an offer came in.
Been like this for years, finally this forum is calling him out on it, and the idiots who blamed Mourinho, Ole, his injuries, him being young, rangnick, his position have gone mighty quiet. The guy has, bar his breakout 6 months to a year under LVG, always been crap. But since we gave him the mega contract and made him the golden boy his lack of effort has been atrocious. Should be nowhere near this club, but will likely be getting another huge contract renewal shortly and another 5 years will pass of United slipping further and further down the table and Rashfords fans will be wondering why.

Get him out!

I’m so so far from his biggest fan, in fact I’ve been onto him way before last season but the comments in here are surprising I thought he was rather decent today. Maybe my standards for him are very low

Hes a coward. Any bid north of 40m we should accept. No we won't get a replacement but you don't need to replace nothing. Put garnacho in

In what world do you think anyone offers 40+ million for him, deluded.

On his wages, with his lack of effort, ability to create, score or even run I doubt you would get 40p. I would be happy if he was simply released on a free, he would not be missed.

Trossard was better last week and Toney this one, it's not rocket science to replace this clown.

While he has often been overrated, that's going over the top. He was fantastic in 19/20 before his back injury, really carrying our attack for a while and truly looking like he was on the verge of stepping up to world class level. Opposition defences couldn't handle him.

Unfortunately he hasn't looked remotely the same player since then. The laziness which was already starting to creep into his game in 19/20 (which we mostly ignored since he was playing so well otherwise) has gotten much worse, and basically every single aspect of his game has declined massively.

If the club had any brains they would let him go to PSG.

Instead we will offer him a new contract for 300k

Christ, I’ve been one of those that remembered the two seasons prior to him being crap and was hoping that a new manager would be a fresh start for him but it really seems like he doesn’t give a shit. It’s actually very sad because I often want nothing more than our academy players to make it through.

Needs to be sold -He‘s not a wide player and never was. He’s just a not very good striker. There are probably 20 or so players just in this league that would do a better job.

If the club extends his contract it will be the same exact shit as when they extended Jones contract and before you know it we will have a 33 year old Rahsford still here stinking up the place on big wages.

Fecking get rid while you can. He's so bad it drives me mad.

I will insist again.
I believe him to be a striker, not the type with back to goal. Just the poacher type.
Yet for his profile we keep avoiding putting him in a position where has to compete to start.
His lack of creativity rules him out of that wide forward berth. That position should be Garnacho’s till we sign a more experienced/better wide forward.

He's not a striker. He has one good attribute which is running in behind. However even in a limited poacher role he lacks finishing, composure, movement and awareness in the box, heading, desire or anticipation to get to loose balls/rebounds/on the end of crosses. Essentially, he doesn't even have a poachers instincts, which is pretty essential for being a poacher. And then on top of that, you have the additional attributes that a striker is required to provide at least to some extent - holding up the ball, strength, linking play, competiting to win long balls or flicks ons, pressing, passing, dribbling, decision making, distance shooting etc - even your typical 90s forward in a 442 was less limited than him (think Andy Cole or Solskjaer as examples, who were superior in every way).

He's just not anything, beyond a very limited player at this level. There is no role or position he would excel in at the top level. He should move to a side that plays counter attacking football and will play to his strength(s).

I feel somewhat bad typing this. A few years ago he showed, to varying extents, glimpses of all the skills I listed in the first paragraph. There are probably numerous factors behind his decline. But in terms of getting the best out of him or what role he should play, then my suspicion is that he needs to play in a system that plays to his one primary strength, and in that system his all round game would probably be less shit as he would have some confidence at least, and be afforded more space where his deficiencies would be less exposed.

I don't know what to say, he doesn't understand or care about the shape of the team, he doesn't press, avoids any sort of duels, doesn't run at defenders with the ball, doesn't run behind the defense, he doesn't cross and seldomly tries a pass that may break a line. I don't think that I'm exaggerating?

Watching him play Football is demoralizing.

He looks finished. I don't think I've ever seen a footballer capitulate like he has over the last 12 months.

I genuinely don't think he wants to play anymore. I think the injuries, then penalty miss at the euros broke him.

Dele Alli.

Ignoring whether he is good enough. What position do you see him contributing more in this team as it stand presently?

I know we have some divisive players in our team such as Maguire, Fred and Mctominay.

All of the above still seem to have some supporters but I really don’t see any support for Rashford anymore. There’s literally nothing a fan could even defend him with. He has falling so badly that it’s not even news anymore when he plays unwell. In fact Sancho is getting more hammered in his thread despite probably doing more than Rashford did this game.

We simply don’t expect anything from Rashford any more which is pretty damning.

In this team, currently on the bench is his best position!

In all seriousness though, the only position I think he can remotely play in this side is as and inverted LW. But he needs a LB to constantly overlap and create width. I don't like ETHs 433 with underlapping full backs to be honest, it means the wingers are very wide and none of our wingers are any good on the touchline (they aren't actually wingers). But regardless of where he plays, he offers no threat if he isn't afforded plenty of space to run in behind. Teams for years know they can subdue us by defending deep and in numbers, and in those cases Rashford is toothless and clueless in attempting to break through that defence.

The only roles I think Rashford would potentially succeed in at this level would be either as a LF in a narrow 343, although Sancho would be superior there and probably Bruno. Or as one of two strikers in an old school 442, 442 diamond or 3412, where the the team plays defensively and looks to counter at pace, but its not 1998 and barely any team plays those formations. And even if they did, Rashford would still be negated by any opposition who defend deep themselves. Villa are playing a 442 diamond and he'd be alright in that setup, but he's not as good as Ollie Watkins or Danny Ings so he'd only warm their bench.

Finally realising he's a kick and run merchant are we? Only took 3 extra years for some of us

Can we chip in some money and get him onto a plane to France? For the betterment of the club?

Team can’t defend and has no midfield so let’s all pile in on a wide attacker as the issue. This place with its agendas, toxic as feck. Once Ten Hag has built a foundation the rest will fall into place.

Keep telling yourself that mate. Everyone including Bruno, Sancho are being slated in their threads. There are no agendas. They have been poor for well over a year now and people are just pointing that out.

I don't know what happened to him. He was on the cusp of world class.

Either those injuries ruined or he doesn't care about football anymore.

Had the 2nd most passes into the box behind De Bruyne after project restart.

He wasn't just a kick and run merchant.

Sadly the injuries have either fecked him or he stopped caring about football.

Oh dear.

He never was world class or ever going to be world class!! Geez, stop over hyping!!

I have said many times before, He is a headless chicken who runs and slam into defenders!!

I asked for him to be sold at any opportunity….. we still have time to bin him!! Sell sell sell this fecker

He has been beyond useless going on 18 months now. He really left a sour taste in my month when he was seemingly the only player in the whole squad who had zero time for any fans across the two weeks in Australia. He doesn’t track back, doesn’t press well, a ball hog, such a limited game.

I think Martin Keown made some good points about Rashford.

Rashford seems to be struggling with similar problems to what Sterling had when he joined city. He always wanted the ball to feet and constantly running down dead ends. Pep really developed Sterlings off the ball movement and running which took his game to another level.

Our coaches really need to work on Rashford’s movement and runs off the ball if we are to have any hope in him becoming a good player. He needs to work on the timing of his runs and making darting runs in behind defences. How often do we actually see Rashford make a good run which puts him through one v one against the GK. Nearly every involvement he has in the game is him receiving the ball to feet then wanting to attack his man without any plan or foresight as to where he wants to end up.

Represents everything that is wrong with most of this team. Utterly fecking useless doesn’t even come close to describing his performance today and for the past few seasons. For someone who constantly goes on about how much he loves the club, etc., he sure doesn’t show it on the pitch. Needs to go ASAP.

We value him at 120 million? Would be funny if it weren’t so absurd.
