Needs to be sold. Can’t remember the last time he had a good game.
No one has an agenda against rashford. People are calling it as they see it.
Out of form you say ? Last time he was in semi decent form was in 2020 and were in 2022!

Injuries don't affect decision-making, only physical ability. When Rashford was playing through injury with painkillers the problem was never "he's lost a yard of pace" or "he can't get past that fullback" or "He's always behind in or conters" - it was "why is he trying to dribble through 4 defenders and kicking the ball at shins?" and "why didn't he pass that to the open teammate?" or "why is he shooting from 35 yards?"Did he have excuses before his injury
He literally had an injury and was playing through it and these fans said it was an excuse just because he was playing through it
2 months later after his operation and when no one in the whole squad is in any form except De Gea, apparently it is still an excuse that's being made for Rashford!
"Excuses" are only happening for 2 months. The excuses when he had a back injury wasn't an excuse - it was a back injury.
That’s the key point isn’t it? His “dip in form” has lasted more than a season. A follow-up, will you be okay him at this current form/level for another 1 full season? 2 seasons? 3 seasons?no, he isn’t finished - hopefully. He is 24 years old and is considered experienced at this age given that he started playing for the first team at a very young age. He scored 20+ goals in the last couple of seasons. Why sell him for a dip in form? Let’s sell the full squad then, they are all below par now.
he is very short on confidence and he needs to focus to restore that. The tactics since rangnick got appointed aren’t helping him also. History has proven that he is not a pure striker, he shouldn’t be played there. Also, the role behind the strikers (what rangnick has asked him to do in other games) is also not his. He plays best when he is on the left. I don’t want to go into the 4222 formation which has it’s own thread, but that set up will not help - just like a lot of players in this team.
nonetheless, there is a lot of work on him. He needs to show the passion expected from someone playing for his boyhood club. He needs to put in the extra effort. He currently looks too frustrated

To me he has not shown anything during this “di that he knows/can come out of this slump.
, you get no argument from me on getting rid of players who have no potential to improve. Where we differ is , I’d put Rashford in that list. I have seen evidence from the likes of Greenwood, Bruno to name a few, that they can improve their form. Even during his 20+ goal seasons, i always saw flaws/doubts about his overall ceiling. I am not an expert but just expressing that I see nothing from Rashford which suggests he will be a world class player and this is just a temporary dip in form.i’d rather we get rid of players who have no potential to improve and those who have really been terrible for more than a season. Again, marcus scored 20+ in his last 2 seasons. The whole team is below par, i just feel with proper guidance and him applying more efforts, he’ll come good
Marcus Rashford said:I'm my own biggest critic.

He’s still young à la Lingard. That’s the key point isn’t it? His “dip in form” has lasted more than a season. A follow-up, will you be okay him at this current form/level for another 1 full season? 2 seasons? 3 seasons?

One of those, if he speaks "why aren't you showing it on the pitch", if he doesn't "he's one of those that isn't committed."
Not sure what people expect.
Question is, what’s the timeline you are looking for?i hope you’re wrong - i’m sure you’d like to be proven wrong too.
for me, 20+ goals a season, while not in top form as you said, is an indication of a quality player.
the squad is in a bad place now, need it to improve altogether and hope marcus can improve too
It's a lose/lose for him. A lot of people won't be happy, until he shows better form on the pitch. I think that's fair enough. Personally, I'd still prefer our players to say something publicly at this point. The things being said in the press doesn't make them look good. Most of the fans won't back them any more. One of those, if he speaks "why aren't you showing it on the pitch", if he doesn't "he's one of those that isn't committed."

This deserves a like.Question is, what’s the timeline you are looking for?
pro sports has what 10-12 years of shelf life, we have been stuck in a neutral gear for almost a decade now. I dont care if academy players bring us a title or non-academy. This “long rope” approach isn’t working in modern times, and we need to roll with who can perform today rather than 2 years from now.
i also think that Rashford form is more similar to running backs in NFL.RBs rely on physical prowess and once they start a dip they never recover. See Ezikiel of cowboys. Rashford never showed me that he will grow his football intelligence, relied on physical attributes; and no injury incidents are challenging my claim.
Net-net; if we want to win the title again , and adopt Fergies real management skill (ruthless + pragmatism) then Rashford has to go (obviously along with other non-performing players)
He's had a serious back injury and the team has fallen apart since then.
And just to let you know he got 33 goal involvements last season too. Not too shabby at all from the left.
Have asked this before, usually to crickets. Its going to be nearly 2 years out of form. How many years more are you going to wait till he gets back into form ?
1 year ? 2 years ? 5 years ? 10 years ?
How much time should a club like man utd wait for a player ? Is any one player bigger than the club ?
Plus they can’t decouple from the non-football Rashford. When a player is 24 and his best performance are two years behind him that’s something that should set alarm bells ringing. I think some have a hard time decoupling the player everyone was convinced he’d become with the player he actually is.
Fair. But his PR game is immense. Aside even from his charity work he’s released more memorable statements over the last year defending himself against criticisms of his performances than he has had good performances.Plus they can’t decouple from the non-football Rashford.
Also, this attitude puts a marker down for everyone. We believe in developing our own but if you don’t then we will show you out. Period. And tbh, I have no issues with his generous activities off the pitch, I admire his willingness to help those who need it.Have asked this before, usually to crickets.
We all want to see a revival of the Marcus in the avatar above but it just ain’t gonna happen ever. Time to start planning beyond him & soon.
is this from FM?Good words from Rashford. He's obviously dedicated to prove his worth for the club. I'm happy to read this lines.
Him walking the talk surely, if he was average but working his socks off most would understand but just putting a statement isn't enough. One of those, if he speaks "why aren't you showing it on the pitch", if he doesn't "he's one of those that isn't committed."
