61st goal for the club and only 22 years old

Only another 192 goals to go...

Mad to think about isn't it

If he stays healthy and continues working on improving year by year as he has,I can definitely see him breaking Wazza's record which would be awesome to see for a local lad from the academy

Just hope we don't burn him out by the time he's 30 like we did with Wazza. Thankfully he's already got less mileage at his age than Wazza did at the same stage given that the latter was already getting regular senior team minutes at 16

Was only giving him a 5 before the goal. Looked disinterested, couldn't pass, shoot or dribble. The goal bumps him up to a 6 but he really needs to be more clinical. Too many wasted attacking situations.

Sort of goal that comes from hard work and making the difference.

To do that run at 95 mins after 2 games in 48 hours is superb. Said it before a while back but he's stepped up to a higher echelon. His running forward with or without the ball this season looks like you see from the top players in the world.

Not his best game, but I never fault him for effort.

Now he's at a point where he is consistently scoring, even when games aren't going his way. All sweeter as he is an academy product. Absolutely love this kid.

Not the best game for Rashford, but he got a goal. It’s good for his confidence

Looks amazing some games and other games he looks like Obertan, like today. Was probably a bit tired today tbf.

16th highest goalscorer in United's history.

Only 4 behind Dwight Yorke. 16 behind Bobby Charlton and 19 behind Eric Cantona.

Only Vardy has more G/A contributions than him in the league this season. Great form thus far.

Absolutely! It’s a delight to have him on our team. Joint 2nd place top scorer with Aubameyang and Ings now with 12 goals. Steady progression for years now. Still another level to go I’d wager!

Far too predictable sometimes in those situations where hes going one one one against a defender from the left.
One player he should really study is Perisic. In those situations Perisic was always a menace, you didnt know if he would use his left or his right. Its details like that now that Rashford needs to work on. His game is good now, he just needs to polish it now. Glad he got a lucky goal because he deserved it for all his hard work and constant improvement.
I do think maybe he would benefit from changing sides with James every now and then too. Might be a bit more unpredictable from the right, worth a try in some games for streches.

But he was coning inside giving Williams space to get forward. Its disappointing if we want to see Rashford run riot and try his luck but thats how you play that position.
Tonight was no different than how Mane brings Robertson into games.

Great finishing pose while finishing another team.

At some point thought he won't score, but my God that lad has tons of stamina.

Time to reopen my Rashford vs Mbappe thread?

hehe

Both Martial and Rashford have this problem and it showed in today's game where they should have got off so many decent shooting opportunities.

It's incredibly frustrating as they do all the hard work by dribbling/ball carrying to the edge of the penalty box and get the angle (to open up for the far corner or a shot across goal with the weaker foot) but far too often they try an impossible one-two or an overlap pass.

Really need to learn from Henry/Robben there.

They're being almost too polite by reciprocating each other's run when the point of the run is to open the space.

Another very good game, not sure what people were watching when it comes to his performance. A constant threat all match and had 2 people on him most of the time, dragging them around and giving the other players more space.

I find it very interesting that he has currently more EPL goals(12) than "Goalscorer" Abraham(11)

He is doing really well this season, hopefully this continues because we need him to come good in a big way.

What amazing season for Rashfrod, he has scored 12 goals and hit 6 woodwork in PL. I feel like he's not finished product yet, there's long ways for him to develop his talent and turn it into one of the best wingers in the world.

To me he's always been a player with all the attributes to be world class but you never know if he'll just be another inconsistent and overrated England attacker. Since he has come out of that funk he was in earlier in the season, a switch has flicked for me - he still has a long way to go but I'm feeling pretty sure he's going to become a consistent 20+ goal a season player with the potential to be a 30+ in his prime.

Not his best game but still a constant threat. The disguised pass to Martial when he unfortunately ran into Bardsley was very nice, a very dangerous free kick and a snapshot that I think hit the outside of the post were all good moments. The effort to get his goal at the end was great to see. Wonderful year for him.

I thought he wasn't that good again tonight, but I prefer him to be clinical like that and embrace confidence.
Few weeks ago, he was more effective in-game but missed a lot of chances, I think we are seing the opposite for some games now.

Like others said he needs to get back to his quickness and first touch, be more unpredictable.
Keep going Marcus !

I thought he was fine, a bit quite but he was having good chemistry with Williams at FB.

Great effort as always.

He had a modest game by his standards, but he still scored...which is a good sign

The desire to get that goal at the end, he never would have done that a few years ago. Sprinted like a mad man flying through their players, for the amount of speed and energy he puts into his runs his stamina is really, really good.

I'd like to see him not slow his dribbling down so much. He often goes towards the defender, then stops it dead then tries to go passed them again. It's much easier if you keep going at the defender with the ball travelling, then change which direction or throw a skill move in to trick them.

He's got everything you'd need as an attacking player in the modern area, speed, skill, strength, rocket shot, hard work and determination - he just needs to mould it all together.

If we aren't talking about a seriously top player by the time he's 26 it will be very disappointing.

Given the obvious Bobby Charlton error are you sure the others are correct because if they are then wow

Not a good game but still scored a ugly goal.

He cant have good games all the time and since he can always have a special moment he will always be a concern for the opponents defense.

I just hope Ole never puts him as CF again. Since Martial his return he is so much better while playing as left forward.

I am a big fan but the lad really has to sort out his decision making when it comes to passing and shooting. There are so many times when his speed gets him into good positions but it does not end up with an effort on goal, the lad has a tremendous shot on him but we rarely see any shots in open play from around the penalty area.
If he sorts this out he will take his game to the next level.

Rashford is actually on 61 as of today.

That's the list. Maybe TM got David Herd and Denis Law's stats wrong (I've got no idea either way), but Rashford is still up there.

Thought he played well with his back against the goal, and his close control and touch was a bit better than usual, imo. Not as assured on the turn as in the latest games but I think there was improvement on display here... and he got his goal despite struggling to create from out wide. Solid.

He is our 37th highest scorer still very impressive . That list is missing a lot of players

That's true but at the same time, I don't think there's been many English attackers over the years that genuinely do have all the attributes like Rashford has. Pure athletic and technical ability that isn't one-note.

Owen (early years), Rooney (early years), Kane and Sterling?

I think like Sterling, he needs some good coaching and finding his role as a goalscorer.

It's very cliche but Rashford's style and trajectory is very Ronaldo-esque, where his play starts on the wing/byline and it looks like it might naturally see him closer to the penalty box with a more ruthless streak to score goals than be involved in the build up.

I think he has more talent than Sterling, but got less service and good coaching.
Already a top player, but would like to see a top manager working with him to take that final step.
His shooting is already world class though on his day.
