His injured and its a two week pause in the league.

Perfect timing for a holiday. And lucky for Rashford its Superbowl at the same time!

See no harm in this, what so ever.

Well, we did have a game this weekend. From the complaints about the other guy, Rashford should have been nowhere other than Old Trafford apparently, supporting his teammates. In fact, I remember reading that it’s apparently a contractual requirement for injured players to be at games, which of course, was news to me.

Fair play, but I still disagree. Strongly. No manager has any right to dictate what another adult posts on his personal page. So long as it does not bring the organisation into disrepute. And as a 30 year old yourself, I’m sure you understand that taking a photo with DJ Khaled does not bring your club into disrepute.

I’m not sure exactly what Ole said, but I do know he couldn’t have meant what you are implying, as he’d be massively overstepping if he did.

A manager in football does have the right. Ralph Hasnhuttle has dictated how much wifi his team used before Match day, SAF banned social media outright. Pep has had a say on certain social media usage for his players. Managers have a right in football, because its not a normal desk job. Social media can draw bad attention if used frivolously which it constantly has with United.

Again, that is specific to the nature of the usage, and when something is NOT distasteful, it becomes the player’s choice. It’s not a desk job but it isn’t the fecking military either.

And social media was barely around in Fergie’s time. And even then, many players told Fergie to piss off about many things, this portrayal of him as some all powerful drill sergeant is overplayed. He was their boss, not their father, and many players under him did things he probably didn’t think was cool, what with being over 30 years older than them and having grown up working on a shipyard in Scotland and all that. They still did it.

No manager can tell a player he can’t take a photo with Michael Jackson if he meets him (before the scandal anyway). As long as I’m not at a concert when I should be preparing for a match, then my life is my own.

Let’s see if Ole feels the need to ‘have a word’ with Rashford in the same way he felt the need to do so with Jesse. I strongly suspect he won’t.

He won't. :D

Yea I remember him saying this, I was more joking at the fact that his trip means he’s likely to miss some of that stuff. Not that it matte at all of course!

I doubt he was at Old Trafford on Saturday too! Just like Eric Bailly hasn’t been for months, but who’s counting?! :)

Do you really want to take the risk of Bailly walking up a pair of stairs? Safer if he stays at home wrapped in protection....

I think the main issue with the Pogba one was that he had played the two games previously and everyone thought he was ready to play. Clearly that wasn’t the case in hindsight, so the whole thing was blown out of proportion, not helped by the bad communication from Ole post games.

Didn't have an issue with it when it concerned Pogba and don't have an issue with this. We as fans, don't have a lot of info when it comes to these things, players rarely go on these trips without the approval of the club and its medical team.

To be fair, I think the ‘Pogba is in Miami’ drama was well before he came back for 2 games.

Ah, I just assumed everyone was talking about the charity game.

Well I think they did, but it started before then, with him going to Miami and being photographed shooting a hoop and taking a pic with Pharrell.

Max Aarons named Rashford as his toughest opponent.

Players are also allowed holiday time.

It's also beneficial mentally, especially when recovering from injury, to go to a warmer, sunnier climate than Manchester in January.

You can clearly see the respect Rashford had for LVG.
He went abit coy on Jose's time at the club though.

Thats the problem for me, if the injury is so serious that you are out for months, i don't think you should be flying 9hr flights and going clubbing.

Because you are a medic...

I hope this doesn’t hamper his development. He was looking explosive before this injury.

Could be a time for our coaches to sit him down properly and analyse him movement etc without the distractions of training everyday.

Hopefully he doesn’t play at the Euros as you can bet on it that he will play at 85% fitness and have a niggle for the start of the season.
