Such a shame. I thought he looked lively once he came on and he obviously won the pen. He seemed to me more focused and less hurried like he was last season, trying too hard to prove himself. Hothead reaction but unlucky also.

I guess unhappy Tony Martial will get some game time this month.
 
Clear red. Feel bad for the lad. Hope Jose uses him in the cups so that he doesn't feel left out.
 
Well, at least it wasn't as atrocious a decision as the Vinicius Jr 'biting incident'. The guy tries to bite the back of Vinicius' head and gets away with a yellow.

 
It is a red (by the books yes) but you see players lock heads all the fecking time and usually the ref just tell them to calm down and that is it. Considering he had just reason to be angry with that twat Bardsely i think it was harsh
 
A funny red actually - a clear mind ref would give red to Bardsley and yellow to Rash

That’s what I felt - especially considering Bardsley did the exact same thing to Rashford after.

I just wonder what the call would have been if VAR was in place. I would think Bardsley would definitely would have received a red.
 
Imo Rashford should have received a yellow and Bardsley seen a red card but that’s under a competent ref. Bardsley should have got a warning (yellow) for a challenge on Rashford outside of the pitch and the other for leaning his head against Rashford’s.
 
I have no problem with him being sent off. I would also like the powers that be to retrospectively analyse video footage and ban every twat who tries to rub his forehead on another man’s forehead as some sort of pathetic display of masculinity. It’s so fecking embarrassing to watch.

For sure. He can't really handle being the lone striker but playing in a front 2 suits him perfectly as he can roam without leaving the middle unoccupied but can also be the poacher to play in front of the 2nd striker.

Talk sport said a week or two ago that out of the previous 16 shots faced he'd conceded something like 11 or 12 goals. He'd been on a weird run of form!
 
Rashford has looked really lively so far today. If we ever drop the three man midfield and add the extra central attacker, either as a #10 or in a front two, it'd suit Rashford to a tee.
 
Missed the first half but glad to see Shaw and Rashford involved for the goal :drool:

It was point blank and Rashford got a lot of power on it. I think most keepers wouldn't have reflexes quick enough to get a hand to it.
 
Needed his friend Martial’s finish there. Composure to open his foot and place it and he scored.
 
Making great runs and getting into fantastic positions but he needs to work on his finishing. Shoots too close to the keeper! Could and should have had a hat-trick today
 
He's love on confidence in front of goal at the moment. It's a hurdle he'll get over. Really encouraging how often he's finding space in and around the Spain defence though.

His finishing really does let him down.
 
Rashford will likely be criticised this evening for the missed chances, and rightly so you could say. But he's been infinitely better than Kane.
