He looked bright whenever he actually stayed wide. Ended up clogging up the area when he drifted inside though. Not sure how he messed up that pass to Martial either tbh.

He, like Martial, has no idea how to play on the right. I'm not sure if today is the proof of that or proof that Mourning tried something different because he already knew it wasn't in his game.

He’s been lost positionally. Him and Mata just seem to be making it up between themselves.

I’d like to see him in the right. He put in one very good cross from there.

And a real awful pass to screw up our counter when Martial was through.

Should have given a better pass to Martial. Hopefully he will have more space in the second half now that we are winning.

He's not really capable of the things he keeps trying to do. It may come, hopefully does but right now it's not happening.

Yes but his technical inability and lack of quality is so obvious in recent games now. A fit and in form Martial would not allow him in the team.

Maybe he, martial and mata have been told to swap positions occasionally to keep the attack a bit more fluid. Could be a possibility, any how Rashford like every young player has inconsistent performances, does not prove that he can not play on the right. Should give him a couple of games before suspecting his ability on the right wing.

Starting to think he believes he's better than what he actually is.

When he came through he kept it simple and sprinkled it with moments of flair. I'm not a fan of this Ronaldo imitation he's been doing lately for us and England.

What Ronaldo imitation? A fecking kicking technique?

He was never going to be as good away from the left hand side.

Playing upfront now.

Not a right winger, he vacated that area so often because he isnt comfortable there.

As if trying to emulate Ronaldo is a bad thing for a young player. Only on this place.

He is so underrated by our base it's crazy.
Superb talent. Extremely intelligent .

He's a lot more inventive than he gets credit for - two great headers today looking to play people in.

That run . He and Martial are different players with different strengths. Both skillsets are absolutely needed in our starting 11

Much improved half this. Good to see. Definitely need to play both him and Martial together, you can tell they have a good understanding with each other too

We can convincingly say that him and martial together is a must going forward as we looked lost when we broke them up for the last 20 mins

Decent to good performance today

As Lukaku he was very poor in first half and his movement was chaotic, seems like he was moving everywhere. Second half he concentrated on being a second striker and staying central and he becomes much, much better.

Up top with Lukaku, Martial on the left and Pogba behind him is our most dangerous combination.

I don't think we can play like that every game. Some games we might need an extra midfielder. Rashford on the right is not the answer imo.

You think we should play 2 up front every game? We cant drop Lukaku.

Thought he was good today.. less dribbling and more clinical movement especially second half. His pace is better when he's moving off the ball and takes people by surprise in and around the box.

We have to persist with him. He has it all. This isn't an overreaction because only 2 weeks ago when he missed that chance against Chelsea we made a note of it, however it's obvious how special is.

He is from Manchester and has absolutely everything in his locker. Patience is a virtue and soon enough we will realize how lucky we are once he is the finished article.

Struggled on the right but when he moved into a SS role with Lukaku in the 2nd half he started to play well with some great movement and a couple of deft headers, one that assisted Pogba's goal.

I don’t see why people are concluding he can’t play right side based on today. He didn’t play right side today, he played centrally, and simply had one poor half and one good one.

I don’t recall him stuck out on the right and struggling in the first half though. He was on the left as much as anywhere in fact.

I still want to just see him play as a proper right winger. For those saying he isn’t that good on the right, I’m not convinced he’s that good on the left either. He’s definitely ‘that good’ through the middle, but his assets are no more suited to the left than they are to the right in my opinion.

His mentality and desire are his biggest strengths. The run for his assist was awesome.

This

The only time he did stick to the right he produced a sublime cross so there's that. He should learn to stay put 'cause as @el3mel pointed out, his movement was chaotic in the first half and he needs to improve that before we conclude he can't play on the right

At least we know starting both doesn't upset any "balance" and we didn't even need a late flurry of goals to score 4 goals

Start them both and you wouldn't need any one coming off the bench against tired legs 'cause they would have already ended the game more often than not

Different side to Rashford today, really liked his end product over his hustle and determination. But that’s what I’ve seen from him when he’s centrally compared to wings.

He practically played as a SS in the first half too. Difference was in the second he was told to do it and the team adjusted to his movements whereas in the first he was tactically AWOL and left the side confused as to where he is playing. It will take time for people to adjust to an alterated First XI.
