Won't have it. It's already been confirmed here he can't play out wide.

Excellent today. Two really, really strong showings off the bench. My MOTM. Looks like him and Martial are pushing each other, which is great for us.

Coming into a rich vein of form, would like him and Martial to get the nod in the League Cup and Zlatan rested.

Electric! Looks more his old self than he did early in the winter. Good. We'll need him.

I don't usually like him out wide, but he made a hell of a difference out there tonight. Coming into a little bit of form.

Still less than a year since he made his debut

How dare he have a bad spell.

Delighted with his run out today.

Superb when he came on today. West Ham's right back couldn't live with his movement.

Showed a tremendous amount of composure to set up Mata for the goal.

Very good cameo from Rashford.

Not a bad player to have sat on the bench... (I could say the exact same in the Mata thread, too)

Don't know if I got proof for this statement. But isn't he that typ of player who is terrible while starting but great while being subbed in.

As far as I can remember he didn't come off the bench once last season. This season he's been pretty hit and miss either way. With him and Martial in a bit of form now we're really spoilt for choice!

Fantastic display, exactly what we needed to see from him. His back-heel pass to Mata(?) just before his assist was fantastically well executed.

He is just such a talent.

best cameo of the season.. my motm..

Martial deserved to start no doubt about his last game's fantastic performance but perhaps was tired and we needed to set up tactically different...

but Rashford had a great impact, he actually looks the fastest player in the team, MArtial might be the fastest dribbler (close control) so better suited to that role wide role but Rashers defo brings something to our game too, the way he stretches the play, and then he always play with his head up unlike Martial who always looks to beat his player first..

well played Jose

and I dont want him to bulk up too much, he's very good like he's now, maybe just a little bit but right now he's lightning quick

Very very good, practically won us the game. It's good to see that he isn't incapable of playing out wide, because it's his best chance at getting game time.

Brilliant when he came on. Had a very good impact in the last game and again today, delighted to see that after he had a couple of really poor months. Showed a lot more composure and cut out the running the ball out the pitch thing where he overrated his own speed for a while I think. Hope he keeps it up, should get a start next weekend against Reading so hopefully he gets a goal to get his confidence up too.

Great cameo again, proving his doubters that he is one dimensional wrong in last two games.

Great cameo. Showed composure every time he beat the full back to pick out passes

It is really weird. He can actually control the ball again. He has that Rooney quality when he is playing badly his basic control evades him. He was excellent today though, really really good assist.

Not a bad player to have sat on the bench... (I could say the exact same in the Mata thread, too)
whilst I fully concur in your post, Mata at his age should be in his peak and starting nearly every match as Pogba / De Gea / Zlatan are doing. Rashford is doing exactly what at top club should be asking of its 19 year old striker and making an impact when he's called on (as should every sub of course). Delighted with them both but you know I'm saying about the difference.

edit: The question in my eyes is was it right to have JL starting instead of Mata. Perhaps in this match yes, given the speed he has and ability to put defenders under pressure quicker than Mata.

Wonderful piece of play to tee up Mata. So good to see him growing in that area of his game, rather than being seen purely as a pacey finisher.

Rashford is playing really well, the rest did him good. Hope to see him start on saturday now.

His pace off the bench is very useful and he exploited the tiring West Ham defense, lovely slice of composure in setting up Mata.

One of the most deserved MOTM this season. He did really well and changed the game for us.

Can we just settle on that he is best used as a super sub? Not a starter yet which doesnt mean that in a few years he wont warrant a starting spot but as of right now his pace and energy of the bench really makes a difference when he comes on. Its a wonderful weapon to have at our disposal so lets just keep him in this current role. By far the best way to use him. He should not be starting, its almost wasting him at this point.

A great cameo. Jose has been spot on with his subs in the last two games.

Great cameo, and it's looking like he's finding some form again. He's a very good impact sub to have in the squad, no question about it.

I also fully expect to him to get at least one start, if not two, in the two cup games we've got coming up. Will be interesting to see if he can translate his good cameos to good starts as well.
