Hopefully Jose never puts him on the wing again unless it's a narrow 433. He should be replacing Zlatan off the bench.

Start him up top for every game for the rest of the season, he will become a special player and should be given as much playing time as possible.

The kid was on fire!!! Battling against their entire backline on his own after Lingard's substitution and still coming out on top..Whoa

A most excellent performance. Ran himself into the ground by the time he got subbed. While Ibra is just Ibra - the one thing he doesn't do is defend from the front and with Rashford we get that closing down that is often needed to keep teams from effectively building out the back. Hopefully he will get a few more games from now till the end of the season up top.

Also - hope Southgate sees that he can't be going with the U21s this summer. He is a senior level player and needs to be seen as just that.

Probably the best game of his career today, especially considering the opponents. Great finish for the goal, excellent hold up play, finally put in some effort to contest high balls, and ran them ragged all day.

What a great performance. Haven't rated anyone 10/10 this season but I will be for this game. For Rashford and Herrera for sure 10s. Not only for their quality but the way they worked on and off the ball.

Rashford was fecking brilliant closing down all the players.

Great performance. Reminiscent of Jamie Vardy last season.

He was incredible. Superb.

He doesn't have Martial's talent IMO, but he's got the hunger and desire to make up for it(and he's talented too ofc)

He had great performances last year but today is the day he has become a man. This will be remembered forever. 10 years on, we will remember this as the day he came through. Extremely delighted with him today.

Brilliant strength, pace and quality - and really benefitted from playing alongside Jesse I thought. Hope we stick with this formation for the next game.

Now that's more like it kid!

I'm not sure. Rashford's excellent but naturally at his age he's still to develop a lot and would perhaps struggle to be consistent. I wouldn't be completely against him becoming our main man up top ahead of Ibra though, because the best way for him to continue to improve and produce performances like that every week will be by playing as a striker more and more often.

None of our attackers have been consistent this season.

Breath of fresh air today, my MOTM, caused them endless trouble and showed his best hold up play to date.

Absolutely scintillating today! He did everything right, speed, strength, decision making, hold up, build up, everything!

Tough pick between him and Herrera for MOTM, but I gotta go for our academy boy!

Don't want him to be played at wings ever again, not even on training ground.

Last season proved he has it in him to perform, it's all about giving him a chance upfront in a system that plays to his strengths!

Like some of you are saying it's ridiculous we would be talking about Mbappe, Dembele and other talented youngsters when we have our own super talented youngsters that need to be given a chance and trust by our manager.

Excellent performance from him today. Showed what we can do with a pacey forward and no target man.

A little bit of constructive criticism could be his movement in the box when a cross is about to come in. A couple of times there were some nice balls put in that he didn't really move early enough for. Something that, for example, Aguero is a master at.

But yeah, he's 19 and he's looking great already. Time's on his side.

He made a fool of David Luiz, reminded me of when Hernandez did the same to Luiz towards the end of the 10/11 season, but this was infinitely better. He had Luiz bouncing off him, and he's no pushover.

Outstanding performance. He's got that exuberance of youth but also calmness beyond his years. When he's in the middle with the pitch opened up he's a nightmare because he can dribble either side. That sets the tempo for the game whereas Ibra as good as he has been makes our attacking play more of a game of chess waiting for a mistake rather than forcing it.

Ibrahimovic has consistently scored goals for the most part.

But he also missed equally as many of big chances as he scored goals. We kept forcing him even when he was poor without giving Rashford a chance upfront as a sub.

Also consistent missed chances unfortunately. If he takes even half of them we'd have sown up top 4 by now.

True, but overall he's got a very good goals record and the reason we're lacking for goals besides his missed chances is because no one else in the team has consistently scored.

It is an interesting situation though - Rashford's clearly far, far better up front than out wide, and by putting him up top he'd score a lot more goals than what he's currently getting. Problem is, unless we can accommodate Rashford and Zlatan, by putting him there instead of Zlatan we're sacrificing the guy who's by far our best goalscorer. Which is risky...and of course means we're hoping that by sacrificing that one very good goalscorer, we'll play better as a team and score more goals in general.

But, of course, even a very good title winning team wouldn't produce performances like today's every week - naturally there's always the risk that instead of performing well consistently, we'd just be without an excellent goalscorer. But we'd hope that within a season or two, Rashford will be starting to hit fairly high figures every year.

Yesterday: Not good enough, loan him.

Today: Should have started all season ahead of Ibra.

Don't you know. Blame the 28 goal man and not anyone else ;)

Rashford was great today! So much better than Martial as things stand.

Next poor game. "I said all along that a loan to a championship side would be the best for him"

But today I think he's as good as Michael Owen was when 18.

It came through injury but with Kane out Spurs didn't really miss him at all. It just meant the other players had to step up and they did take that responsibility. I do feel if Rashford and Martial were given more starts together with one of them the striker we may have picked up more wins because they have dynamism and skill to bounce off each other.

Zlatan is 35. There's no reason for him to start every game. I don't think Rashford is quite ready yet to lead the line on a consistent basis but he should be racking up 20 odd starts as a striker from next season.

Great performance today, but he's a kid and we aren't going to get consistency from him yet. I'm glad he's getting games and performances like today bode well for the future. I just hope the English media don't pile the pressure on him. I think he's actually been handled well between Southgate and Mourinho, he's getting his minutes and time to grow into both teams. More goals would be nice, but that will come in time too.
