Neymar would be wonderful if possible but I'm not sure if we're being played, Sanchez is a great option too.

I think the Verratti business has been handled very well, having the agent sacked allows both the club and the player to save face and puts a big egg on the face of those who tried to hurt the club.
 

After extending for €9m/year Verratti could be allowed to leave next summer if he still wants.

We are at a point where we know for sure he's told quite a few of his teammates and close friends that he's moving, so either it's on or it's a very elaborate lie angling for a pay raise. It's clearly a step further than Ronaldo's "irreversible decision" to leave Madrid a couple weeks ago.

I agree, I see neymar more at psg with his Brazilian pals than here anyday.
That fact that psg hasn't bought anyone yet is telling...maybe they pulled out of the Aubameyang deal because neymar signalled his availability?
 
Herrera = Casemiro.
Verratti = Kroos.
Pogba = Modric.

Please make it happen. :drool:
 
Would be outrageous, he moves like Scholes used to in the way he is always a step ahead in his mind. Playing little one twos to find pockets of space to work in and reads the game so well.

Can't see it as it would be too good to be true
 
Verratti would easily make us the best team in the league. Shame it seems as likely as getting Neymar.
 
For what it's worth - AS Roma and PSG are playing here in Detroit tonight at our baseball stadium. Roma (and I assume PSG) - took a tour of the University of Michigan facilities including the Big House where we played Real Madrid in front of 109k+ spectators (and I was there, the photoshop by Real of the aerial was disgraceful.. It was overwhelmingly red) . Roma and PSG are playing at Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers with a capacity of a mere 41k or so because they "aren't as big as United and Real". Mind you - our NFL stadium with a capacity of 65k is right next to it and I guess even that was deemed too big) I wonder if Veratti or one of the other players in either team thought to themselves - well Wtf.. I want to play for a club that can fill the larger stadium. :D:drool:

Surely there's a clause in there that would allow him to have a possibility to leave next summer. Those are nothing wages for a player like him, and it doesn't make sense to extend the contract otherwise.

Not quite. We could still finish 5th with him. At this point its not about adding player x or y. Its about coaching and mentality.

Herrera - Verrati - Pogba

This would be one of the best midfields in world football but you are correct a collection of great players doesn't necessarily make a great team.
 
This shouldn't happen but I can't erase the thought of having Verrati with Herrera and Pogba, interchanging roles and positions to control the midfield... it would be unbelievable!!!

Modric, Makelele, Fabregas, Herrera, the list goes on. If you're good enough and the type of player he likes, you'll play, regardless of height.

We already have more than enough height in the team, with Fellaini, Carrick etc. coming in if we need even more.

In front of the defense Makelele, Cambiasso. How about mixing both to have Verratti.

Raiola really became his agent?
 
Lads, imagine a diamond midfield with Verratti at the base, Pogba left, Herrera right with Pereira, Mkhitaryan or Mata at the tip; very fluid and as good as Real Madrids, if not better. Put Mendy and Valencia at FB with Lukaku and Rashford or Martial upfront. Lads we are going to win the champions league!!

Agreed. We need a team that is functioning with fluidity and understanding across the pitch, and it is up to the manager to bring that to fruition.

Ramos, Marcelo, Modric, Isco, Ronaldo, Benzema severy trashes us. Whilst Carvajal, Bailly, Kroos would be close calls and Casemiro is very different to Veratti.

They won't sell Veratti for 100m, try doubling it and they'd think about it. They already rejected a similar offer from Barca, even with Veratti basically begging to leave and they still said no.
