Love what he’s doing in midfield for us.
An equally good midfielder next to him with maybe a bit more expansive passing and we’ll have a proper midfield. Not knocking Mainoo though.

First time in a while we've spent big money (nowadays over £50m) on a player and it's not taken that long before you're like "yeah... I get it"

He’s made a big difference in midfield as he has settled down. Still think there is more to come as well.

It’s always hard to know with the FA but there only seems to be one replay of the incident with Havertz and it doesn’t offer anything conclusive for them to ban him in any way.

Maybe a lazy comment, but is he a better version of Herrera?
Yes although Herrera was more advanced/attacking at Bilbao. As ever United signed someone in midfield and misused him - he had the energy/attitude/tenacity but he was nowhere near as good as Ugarte is in the deeper role so a bit unfair to compare them, same with Fred he was more advanced and it wasn't until Ragnick came he pushed up.

Ugarte is like a mobile/aggressive/better Schneiderlin

He must be horrible to play against. Doesn't give anyone a second to take a touch, he is there instantly and his passing seems reasonable. We really did need someone like him in the team, sets the tone for everyone else.

His passing is a lot better than it was being made out leading up to his signing. Completely forgot he's oly 23 as well, plenty of room for improvement still.

Had a bit of an underwhelming start in and out of the team but since he's settled into being a starter he's been phenomenal.

We should always have a couple of fighters in the team it makes such a difference.

It seems strange that so many were a bit unsure of his signing, ETH clearly didn't really rate him.

He's been immense and what we've been lacking for years.

Talk of a 3 match ban for violent conduct, which you just know they’ll throw the book at him because he wears a Utd shirt. I hope that also applies to the cretin that had his hand around Ugarte’s throat! I’ve got a feeling the FA will miss that one though.

I’d be astonished if they give a ban for that. There’s really nothing to it.

ETH was a fraud who wanted to keep McTominay. What is more intriguing is that he was probably the best midfielder for Ten Hag ball, someone who can cover alot of ground and win duels in the transistion.

Amorim clearly knows him and he also mentioned that since he had him and now, he has actually improved in his passing.

Alot of people said his passing was poor but I am pleasantly surprised by how good he is, in his position, I dont care about the passing. The one attribute I really like about him, other than the ones people have mentioned is his press resistant ability. I have seen him receive the ball in difficult areas and deal with it.

Pretty sure the FA have already said there'll be no further action. Think a lot of the usual suspects are just fear mongering for engagement, especially as Ugarte was being strangled and didn't actually headbutt Havertz.

If this was Scotland it would be Havertz facing a retrospective ban for diving.

It really wont make me feel better if both Ugarte and Havertz get a ban. He is crucial for us. Arsenal can actually benefit by not playing Havertz :D.

From the same click bait merchants saying we were getting relegated last week?

What the hell would Ugarte get a ban for, he did nothing that deserved even a yellow there. Here's what havertz did

Yet ETH barely even used him. What a fraud of a manager he was.
It is about system change. Even prime Casemiro would fail in ETH system in United. Lone dmc who must cover whole midfield alone.

This is just perfect system for Ugarte and that is why he does this well game after game. Him and Bruno are probably our most important players right now.

Media witch hunt along with ex rubbish refs trying their best to get him banned for three games. With a clueless FA I won't be surprised if they are influenced by such talk while Ugarte getting choked totally ignored.

Big fan of his. Unlike Fred and Herrera, he can play as the deepest player in midfield and still press without leaving gaps everywhere. He’s also strong so he’s not someone that you can shrug off when he goes in for a tackle. I always thought Fred and Herrera had the energy and desire but lacked the physicality to excel in the role.

Ugarte is the kind of nasty bastard I’ve wanted here for a while. He’s also very good in his use of the ball, braver than Herrera but not as deluded as Fred into thinking he has Kroos like passing ability.

He’s so important to us, we have no one to replace what he does other than Collyer but it’s still unknown whether he is good enough.

A bargain at the price, hopefully a sign of the how the club are going to operate in the transfer market moving forward.
