    Ok Mr agenda

What's my agenda? Your the one with the attacker excuse. Milan have as many injuries as us.

All I said is the cup competitions are very important cause we need to win a trophy. Then people in here started saying they don't matter which is insane.

People are debating here over which competition is more important this season so Rashford can be rested in the other one, completely forgetting that Marcus is 23 years old, as fit as a footballer can be and has been passed fit by the physios. He will start both games as he absolutely should, and then the FA Cup one next weekend too. He’s our 2nd best player!

Honestly, I can’t understand some of you guys’ obsession with resting players. Let’s settle on the fact that not just the PL and EL, but the FA Cup is important too.
    Never trust United’s physios.

Remember Lingard coming on as a sub and then redoing his injury, same happened to Martial as well. Phil Jones is probably completely fine.

Yeah I agree we need to win something

Obviously I agree with the broader point that we should be able to win the Europa and still maintain our league position.

I just don't see a trophy as a prequesite for a successful season given how anything can happen in a one-off game.

Probably best to leave it there though. We're going round in circles here.

    No I didn't. I never mentioned top 4 and I didn't say anything was a victory.
I prefer winning trophies instead of celebrating how we were the closest to the champions. I’ll take 3rd /4th plus a trophy or 2 at the end of the season

Squad is good enough to be winning a trophy every second year at least. Especially when we are in the EL.

It's not an either or between top 4 and trophies.
Cups are a lottery, they don’t even guarantee that you are heading in the correct direction, see Mourinho.

Three semi’s last season, doing ok in a few this year. Consistency and a lack of character on the pitch has wasted opportunities for trophies but it’s not a major issue in our current situation, we have to be challenging next season, that’s the goal.

A cup win would do the players the world of good more so than acting as any real marker of Ole’s tenure imo. Many people here would want him gone regardless if he wins a cup which says it all really.

Top four is nothing to celebrate for any of us, challenging the top teams for the league next season is the acid test for Ole. In my eyes anyway.

Rashford starts. Let's hope he hasn't been rushed back and that he is able to play against AC as well

How do we even know the Physios gave him the all clear? Either he, or management, could be insisting he plays regardless of medical recommendation.

Rashford is a great player. But I’d rather we didn’t completely run him into the ground at 23 like we tried to last year. Let’s not pretend him playing through injury doesn’t have precedent.

Again misrepresenting me. We are talking about this particular trophy, the Europa League.

If it was the Champions League it's a different story.
We are a long long way from a CL trophy so you might as well enjoy a EL one .

Some posters here claiming that cups are a lottery. They are fecking not. SAF won the prem so many times because he deserved it. Cups are literally the ultimate goal in any football competition. I will take 5 EL cups in a row over 5 second places in the Prem. If you are in a competition, your ultimate goal is to win it. Managers and football players are judged by their achievements and the top ones by their honours.

The team picks itself at the minute.
Hendo, AWB,Lindelof, Maguire, Fred, McTom,Bruno, James, Greenwood and a one-legged Rashford.

I’d be quite annoyed if we decided to drop Shaw and run with 10 men if I’m being honest with you.

Need an early goal so we can counter effectively today. Not really a lineup to breakdown a set defence today.

So by your logic Di Mateo is good manager because he sort of won that one UCL once?

Can we not get him excluded so he can have it sooner?

His shoulder problem is likely one that requires an indeterminate period of rest or surgery to resolve. There's no danger from him continuing to play with it.
