The subs are mostly senior players. It'll be interesting to see if there'll be two completely different XIs this match.
I'm really looking forward to watching Onana.
Yea he'll be playing a lot of football this season from the looks of It, I hope he takes this big opportunity.
Kinda blows this is only on ESPN+ in the US. Guess I'll have to watch the US-Netherlands women s game instead.

Excited for this one. Looking forward to watching Onana. Would have loved to be at the stadium tonight but couldn't make it due to life issues. Still very excited to see this team and get a better idea where we are wrt to Ten Haag's blueprint.

I am hoping though that Bruno won't be playing too much on the right wing this season, especially, when we have some real wingers sitting on the bench.

First time in a long time I look at our team and like most of our players.
I should already be asleep but I'm so intrigued by this lineup. Amazing vote of confidence in Mainoo from ETH. No midfield in the PL is going to outclass that Madrid midfield so if he performs well today, you can be sure that we have a star on our hands with Kobbie. Might try to stay up til at least half time.

How can anything during preseason make no sense?
Mainoo and Garnacho instead of Antony and Sancho is the confirmed lineup.This team looks great on paper.
Won't get a better test to see if he's ready for first team football outside of competitive games.
Positionally, it'll just be Bruno or Mount on the wing, unless we're matching up the diamond Madrid seem to be playing.

EtH continuing with Bruno on the right wing against tough opposition.
If it is Bruno on the right wing, it’ll be the first time we’re playing him there while having an adequate replacement in his normal position in Mason Mount.
It's such a racial divide -- Whites, Asians and blacks are United fans. The rest are RM.
It’s pretty horrific. It’s like the director is trying out new things in a pre-season show as well. She’s definitely getting released on loan before the season starts. She’s Elanga level presenting.
Madrid are I think playing a diamond midfield with Bellingham as a #10 so it might just be to match up numbers in the middle.
Also if we're playing on the break a fair bit with 2 speedy forwards who aren't good at holding it up, giving Bruno a freer role and hoping he can play in Rashford or Garnacho makes some sense.
This makes me think we might well see this lineup with Amrabat (assuming we sign him) in some bigger games away from home with Amrabat in Mainoo's spot (and maybe Hojlund or Martial in Garnacho's with Rashford left) if one of Sancho or Antony doesn't look like a double digit goal threat on the right.
Also if we are moving on Fred and Mctominay and Mainoo is our 6th midfielder then getting him a start against Madrid is a good idea.

Man, that’s a great lineup. Let’s fckin go! I’ve honestly haven’t seen a more balanced side in many years. I know it’s just a friendly but I’ve always been a fan of the double pivot with casemiro and another and axing one of our right sided wingers since they’ve been so poor. Amad can slot in though if we pull a Mount and Fernandes and i feel confident. Honestly wouldn’t mind pulling bissaka fullback and having one of Fernandes or Mount covering the right deeper as Amad pushes further.
