Manchester United vs Real Betis (Thu 1st August, 03:00 UK time)

All I want is at least one player lighting it up this season. Feels like we had one of those odd seasons last year where basically no one with goals in their boot ever got going. ...If even that's only Amad we already should have a better season.

We're actually playing very well....

Pressing is very effective. Can't tell if its because Betis are still in holiday mode, mind.

Can't remember when we last scored from a corner that wasn't an odd header. New set pieces coach, Andreas Georgson, already earning his keep?

I’ve never heard of that Rodri before today but after watching him for 30 mins I’m convinced we have to buy him.

Wow this ref is so bad, he might be blind.

Amass is a confusing player. Some things he does are absolute quality and some other things make me think he's championship FB at best.

At the very least, a defensive liability.

Of course Sherlocks, hence why I called him a kid.
He needs to start learning about tracking his man ASAP, very key even for his age

Even then. What he could bring going forward might be worth the odd howler. Look at Trent for example.

It's the latter. This game is slower than any game in championship, and more disorganized than a weekend five-a-side. Some interesting moments from our players that are fun to watch, but overall this is shit game, come on

United looking sharp. The press looks more coordinated than last season.
RVN is making a massive impact. The players already praising him and we actually look like we’re being coached now.

He turned 17 in March. Inconsistency and lack of defensive competence are normal
