Manchester United vs Lens (Sat 5th August, 12:45 UK time)

Midfield is too erratic, can't hold the ball for long periods.

I also think Shaw needs to improve his attacking game, he's a bit too passive these days

This midfield is not working...Mount is always ahead of Bruno who will always lose the ball leaving Casemiro seriously exposed.

That's a really bad miss but with the spin the ball had and the fact it was a bit behind him, that can happen to the best of the players. Would be absolutely livid if it happened in a PL game though
That's why he needed to take a touch first.

If this was a league game Casemiro would have been booked twice in the first 15 minutes for stupid fouls. Hope he’s just getting that sort of thing out of his system before the season starts
He’s got a long season of defending ahead of him again. Fernandes and Mount are no.10s masquerading as central midfielders. Amrabat/the rotational midfielder is a must

I know you're Danish but come the feck on. What the hell even is that bolded part?
It has nothing to do with whether I am Danish or not. It has more to do with Mount. As I write in the first sentence, I don't rate him very highly. There were times last season (after Eriksen's injury) when I preferred Fred or McT to Eriksen. But if Eriksen is just somewhat back to his "old self", he is a far better player than Mount in my eyes.

Mount is a different player than Fred, but not better than him. There is a reason why, he was not in Chelsea`s plans anymore.

I missed a few of the preseason games but it seems we look a bit light in midfield. Was this the case in the other games?

Bruno and garnacho have been very good. Bruno’s obviously the deeper one with Mount further forward.

Garnacho's an amazing out ball, his positioning is good.

Mount getting into the box is a good sign, something we have lacked massively in previous seasons.

Seems like Bruno and Mount as 8 and Casemiro as 6. Not sure if this is what we will do in PL. Seems risky

You can't be competing for Premier League titles with a midfielder that can't run. It is really as simple as that. Mount will improve us, and he's a far better goal threat.

As good as Rashford can be, he really shouldn't feel safe in his starting spot with Garnacho behind him.
