Manchester United vs Lens (Sat 5th August, 12:45 UK time)

Kind of understand our Irish fans are disappointed but I thought it was pretty obvious we get the First XI in our only home preseason game - should still be a decent team tomorrow, not like the kids at Wrexham anyway

Never any guarantees in preseason of who you going to see
For the last time - the lens fixture wasn’t announced when the tickets were sold. So the expectation was this would be a full strength squad. United announced the fixture for lens after the Bilbao game sold out. It’s just fleecing Irish fans.

Announcing a new signing today according to the app. I wonder who that'll be.

Im aware of this but in preseason you always take your chances on what kind of team is put out - who knows he might do a load of subs at half time and play a stronger team than expected tomorrow (unlikely TBF)

Old Trafford fans pay full price for reserve teams in the cups all the time

I get the disappointment but it will still be a decent line up tomorrow

Here he comes. The new forward. Wanted to hear that for a very very long time.

Welcome son to United! Wish you reach new heights and help the club win titles!

Boyhood fan playing for your favourite club before you turn 21. What a feeling that must be. Hope for nothing but the very best for him and I genuinely feel he is going to be a hit. Don't know why but I just feel it.

Seeing on twitter that Hojlund got injured in Atalanta's pre season training and will miss first few weeks of season. Anybody know if this is true or if there's a reliable source?

What can we expect from this team?
"Positivity"

Ole is that you?

This is our strongest XI for the next few months, until Hojlund finds his feet. Questions about Antony vs Sancho only.

“Back in 2007 2008 something like that” well researched commentator. It was 2007.

Love how direct Garnacho is. Exactly what we’ve been missing.

That opening two minutes was putting me to sleep. I hope to see ideas today and not just counter attacking football.

Garnacho still #49 this season? Thought he'd get a new number
