I'm very suspicious of this back injury.
Personally, I think that he is not injured, but Jose is minimising the embarrassment associated with being dropped.
Surely he would be better to play at home against Zorya, and then drop him for the Stoke match? He can cite resting/man-management too, especially with the international break along.

I can't look at their team name without thinking of the sisters in American Gods.

Conspiracy theorists galore on here. Shame you guys can't just live in a world where a man can be taken at his word. Jose has nothing to gain from lying.

    .................Romero
    Darmian, Smalling, Bailly, Rojo,
    ...........Carrick, Fellaini
    .......Lingard, Mata, Martial
    ..............Ibrahimović

Wanted Herrera instead Felli, but read he is not in the team. Just hope we will keep momentum from Leicester game, and play good, attack, and hopefully score 3 or 4. It is also a game on Croatian TV, which is surprise, cause I don't remember the last time it happened, so I don't have to watch creepy streams, that for some reason die right before we score.

Knowing Rooney and his omnipresent influence on all things I wouldn't be surprised if he's mind controlling Jose to make sure he plays against Stoke at the weekend. Anyone else hear about the clause in his contract that Woodward has to wash his car every morning?

    :lol::lol:

This is true. Martial has been terrible.
However, we believe that Martial can be great for us, one day. Memphis has shown nothing since he arrived.
We know that Memphis can beat up weaker teams, but against EPL teams, Martial has shown for more.
It is possible that Martial was a one season wonder, but Memphis could not perform for even 1 season.

How often has Memphis have to play with Rooney as 10 instead of Mata??? I can't remember many games when he was lucky to have Mata who can pass the ball and create something instead of Rooney.

On which channels is the match?? With English commentary

Looks like the reports about Memphis weren't true. Instead its Darmian who was left out of squad entirely. He may as well look for a new club.

Weird line-up, Blind and Herrera not even on the bench, Fellaini instead of Carrick so no quality from deep, and Darmian might as well pack his bags.

Good to see Fosu-Mensah back in, even if he was a bit dodgy in the last game. Van Gaal would have had him benched for months after that

I wonder if Carrick isn't starting because Mourinho wants him to play at the weekend

Just like LVG was supposed to bench Rashford for months after he pulled him off at halftime against Liverpool during Europa League and it was damaging to his development? Let it go.

Jose is going to severely feck with my predictions this year

    I like that team, though.

Do not fancy TFM in that position but it's great to see him getting game time. Interesting selection otherwise. Lets go!

I don't understand why we keep trying Pogba and Fellaini in midfield two. They don't really compliment each other. Pogba clearly plays better with other midfielders who can get more on the ball and dictate the game through their passing.

Not a single defender on the bench tho. Carrick for CD if needed (hopefully not)?

Ibrahimovic's first taste of European nights at Old Trafford... against Zorya... in the Europa League...with a family crowd.

Fellaini and Pogba don't work well together, and Fosu Mensah isn't a right back.

Not really happy with tonight's wing and fullback choice. I still think this team should be enough to win this easily though.

Looks like Smalling is easily becoming Mou's first choice CB by the looks of it. It'll be interesting to see if he starts him in the next game too.
