I think the symptoms are obvious .. Mainoo isn't a CF and Ugarte x Bruno is too lightweight. CBs not stepping up from their line as usual.

I'd bring in, say, Collyer for Ugarte and Zirkzee for Mazraoui. Throw Amad at RWB. And yell a bit at Yoro and Licha to step into midfield.

Bruno needs to have more patience on the ball, he is forcing it to much and ends up giving the ball away to often. Mazraoui need to be subbed and Amad moved to RWB and he needs to stay there until we find a better option because Mazraoui is not capable of playing there.

Yep we have scored 29 goals in 23 and half PL games and we still don’t have a striker, Zirkzee allows Amad to raid down the right side, we can’t score in the first half in the EPL.

Ugarte has been abandoned in midfield, he’s like monkey in the middle. Amad is making the right passes but no one is used to 1-2 passing except Mainoo and Garnacho.

Ugarte has been very sloppy in possession. Mazraoui is completely invisible and we’re very lopsided to the left as a result.

Palace are very solid in defense so scoring against them when they are sitting back was always going to be a tough task. The few chances we had to start a fast paced attack, we haven't taken. Some bad touches have let Palace in a few times. I think 0-0 is a fair reflection.

Bruno being our only midfield option from deep is a problem. We need Licha and Maguire to step up and deliver some passes. I'd sub in Eriksen for Ugarte if it weren't a PL game. Maybe if it's still 0-0 in the 80th min, we can try that.

I have to laugh at these sorts of posts. No player ‘hides’ from the ball for a start. Secondly we knew the type of player we were buying in Ugarte. He’s a ball winning CM who then gives it to the supposedly more creative players in the team. Not his fault those players then do very little with it.
