Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace

Actually looking forward to seing Young and Valencia. They are both great footballers when they find their feet, and today is a great chance to help them find some form and gain some confidence. Great to see Fabio at right back as well, prefer him compared to Jones at RB, and I always love watching Anderson play, wether he's good or not :D

I have never sene Young do anything, ever to make me think he is great. In fact the only thing I remember him for during his time at United is scoring to make it 3-3 against Basel.

Why is the BT Sport online stream so far behind the TV channel? fecking stupid reading things on here and twitter 3 minutes before I witness it. Means I'll have to ignore them during the game so nothing gets spoiled

Happens on Sky Sports as well. Streaming through an Xbox is ages behind.

Feels like I've been waiting hours for this load of BT idiots to STFU and show the actual match. Coverage is painful.

Neil Warnock on Holloway

"When he came up with Blackpool he almost revolutionised management for promoted teams with the way he set his teams up, they had a great attitude, they played some great attacking football, it was a real breath of fresh air ... I know they got relegated - it almost worked - if they'd just went a bit more defensive they would've pulled it off ... he's been saying in the last few weeks he's learned from last year, he's set his team up a bit more defensive"

:wenger:

You know what he means. I think it's fair enough.

Ha, Bosnich basically said what I said in the Combo thread. Showed the same footage saying he Fellaini will tackle where as Carrick will stand off and let players run at their defense.

Why are people talking about Young as if he's started every game under Moyes? Hasn't he only started the Liverpool game and come on against Chelsea?

Didn't even play against Wigan or Swansea.

The Arsenal-game was pretty good though. I still believe that a player who've racked up the 3rd highest amount of assists in the premier league (playing for Aston Villa no less) can be a decent player for us. Not a starter, but certainly contribute as a squad player.

Rooney's headband

I actually feel sorry for him. Must be slightly embarrassing.

How will Rooney's headband affect his heading? It could be a big hindrance.

He's probably the worst winger I've seen play for the club who's been considered anything better than a reserve.

It makes absolutely no sense unless Nani is injured again and Welbeck and Kagawa have both died during the week. Even then Zaha is much better than him.

Warnock's "expert" punditry has been a joy to behold.

Rooney's head looks like Joe Pesci's in Home Alone when he got his head set on fire with the blowtorch.

Can't find the quote now but on one of my iPhone footy apps they had a short interview with Round (from early august) who (when commenting on Rooney working hard in preseason and getting into great shape) said that certain players needed extra work in training due to their natural fitness, the interviewer asked "Anderson?" and he "smiled" and said something along the lines of "yes, he's agreed to do less ball work and focus on getting himself into a better position to start the season at full fitness".

Anderson is gonna run the show, score a hattrick from midfield, eat a massive kebab and shit on all the naysayers. I can feel it.

Every time I hear that song I think of Randy Marsh kicking Bat-dad's ass.

Rooney's protective headband, it's like having Steve Foster playing again or as the commentator on the German tv has suggested it's Petr Cech lite.

Hope we finish the game with a front 6 looking like this;

Carrick - Fellaini

Zaha - Rooney - Januzaj

RvP

Let' see. It's Crystal Palace for feck sake, how can he not play well?

He's produced some fantastic goals against Arsenal and Spurs in particular but yes it's been far too long since we've seen him do that.
