Manchester United vs. Chelsea

Jesus, that's a great record tbf and even more impressive I suppose when you take the records for other clubs into account.

We had a relatively shit team for most of Mourinho's reign here; in 06/07 when we came out of our shell we were the equal of Mourinho's Chelsea in all three games (well, the league game at Stamford Bridge was a bit of an irrelevant farce but anyway) so I wouldn't read too much into the past.

But will he want to dent the title hopes of the team he will be playing for a week later?

No, that's why he'll have a stormer for us, the team that he'll be playing for this entire season. You continue to dream that we're going to sell you one of our most important players though old Robby

I think it's a fair comment tbh. I don't think we'll sell Rooney but what goes on in his head is anyones guess.

Rooney's thinking tonight could be a problem for him, but only because there's a chance it'll be one of those games where he tries too hard I believe.

I think he'll give huge amounts of effort tonight - but sometimes in recent seasons that's weirdly turned out to be a bad thing - you know, wanting to be a hero.

I reckon he'll have a good game. If he doesn't, I don't think it'll be for a lack of trying.

DDG
Smalling, Vida, Rio, Evra
Jones, Carrick, Cleverley
Welbeck, RVP Rooney

I think Moyes is going to keep it tight - throw on the likes of Valencia, Zaha, Giggs or Kagawa if we are chasing the game.

Had a dream Cantona scored lol wtf if only! What a legend loved him at United!!

No as said that was Scolaris balls up. You did beat us 2-0 under Grant which I think was the first game after Jose, but still not Jose

Joses Chelsea record vs United was

League

1-0 win H
3-1 win A
0-1 loss A
3-0 win H
1-1 draw A
0-0 draw H

League cup

0-0 draw H
2-1 win A

FA cup

1-0 win N

Think thats all. Darren Fletcher responsible for his only United loss.

It should of course be added that Mourinho was in charge of Chelsea when we were at our "worst" during the P.L years - while he left just as we reclaimed the grasp of the League. So even if he has a good record against Ferguson - he also was fortunate with the timing

And since then we have knocked his Inter out of the CL and were on our way to doing the same to his Madrid side before cnuty Cuntface took centre stage.

There's no need to even justify it as it's all in the past.

I think that would be a mistake for us personally. Our ability to play a narrow game is nowhere near as good as Chelsea's. I think we'd lack creativity to really hurt then there and I don't see much pace for a counter attack. I think in the absence of nani, valanecia has to play. I agree we'll need to keep it tight, will be interesting to see whos in with carrick but I think we need a winger in there.

havent been this excited about a game since Madrid......

lets hope the lads tear them apart

If we beat Mourinho tonight it'll be the biggest upset of the season for the media - eclipsing Cardiff's efforts yesterday.
Right?

Ba up front I take it?scored a great goal against us last year I think, possibly two.

A statement from Moyes starting Rooney, not sure if that is wise knowing how long it takes him to get up to speed.

Good team. Bench looks weak without Hernandez.

No Zaha. Injured?
