I'd to love how many times we give the ball away a game compared to a team like Barcelona. Shocking how bad we are at keeping possession under pressure.

Yay, we win over mighty Brighton. Drinks all around.

Seriously though, its' FA Cup or bust this season. Relief if not happiness.

When your right back was once a right winger, and your left back was once a left winger, tells you that you have problem positions in your team that need to be solved. Particularly when those two ex-wingers never seem to want to take players on.

    A absolutely horrible opinion.

Not really, he's been getting turned inside out consistently throughout the second half. He was rubbish for our goals against Sevilla. He's had mistakes in the past. He's rubbish in the air.

Good player, can pass, is aggresive, but defensively is lacking in positioning, heading, and quite often in one on one tackling too.

So yeah, do let me know if you have the capacity to reply with something more than just banal insults.

Thank God for that. We looked fairly lifeless but we got through.

Let's hope the break recharges some batteries, and that Ed keeps Jose away from a microphone.

That's us in the semi finals without conceding a single goal on the way, right?

This is what drives me nuts this season. This performance is almost as bad as midweek. The difference is we scored first and Brighton haven't taken their chances to equalise. And yet there won't be the storm of criticism there needs to be. These performances are awful. Even in victory we need to be shouting it from the rooftops. Our first shot attempt in the 2nd half went in but we are Manchester United and should be having 15 shots a half, battering at the door. We play half paced football.

I agree, the reality is the warning signs were in place from the Palace, Chelsea and Liverpool games (well they’ve been in place from earlier but these aren’t the 3 recent games which stick out).

For an entire half in each of those games we were absolutely shite, like Sunday league still getting over my hangover bad, but it was overlooked as we won.

Someone brought it up in another thread but each game feels very much like a coin toss, we play the same way no matter what and it ultimately comes down to whether the other team punish us for our passive approach or not.

Thank feck, and thank feck I didn't bother to get a ticket for this one, knew it would be shite.

Both goals, btw, coming from crosses, which says nothing about quality in general. Resorting to scoring goals from crosses and not creating pure footballing chances is Championship/Lower-half Prem standard,

2 nil win. Semis of the FA Cup. How is still possible to feel like shit?

Thank feck for the international break. I need a break from watching this shite.

Guess Mourinho still hopes he'll change his mind.

That's the only explanation really. I'd prefer to give minutes to Angel Gomes than to waste any time with him.

That was hard work. Hopefully the international break sorts a few players heads out.

Actually I think that's a reflection of what we needed to do more of, not bad football. Brighton we're playing with a back 6 at times, you're not going to play through a back 6, you need to get behind or out wide.

Hey, you can watch Portugal play. It's pretty much the same
