While I agree we should do this first and foremost - it will fall apart against quality teams.

We need to be able to defend and grind out wins when things aren’t going well. Because if we can’t, we’ll have a few more frustrating games along the way. Against teams like Bournemouth, it’s not that much of an issue because they leave loads of space for us to play. We won’t get that luxury in the CL.

I'm sure we'll set up very differently against a bigger team. I think we'll see just how good Solskjaer and Phelan are when we play the big boys. We won't get battered though.

Herrera and Matic have been awesome, and Rashford is keeping three players occupied with help from some fantastic movement from his team mates. Pogba will get the headlines but it's his midfield partners that are allowing him the freedom to attack (and Ole, of course).

We are generally poor in the air, but I think De Gea could really help the team out by coming for more crosses. He needs to be more dominant to help cover our biggest weakness.

In fairness to Bailly, he's not been terrible on setpieces. It's Lindelof who's gone missing time and time again.

If you only watched highlights of freekicks against us, you'd guess that our two central defenders are Bailly and Matic.

With Bailly for his size he's not that great in the air either but Lindelof is like equal to a Shaw or a Herrera.

That leaves you weak in the air. Pogba is poor for his size as well.

Godin is brilliant as a player. Cynical too, we lack that mean streak. Don't think he's attainable though.

De Ligt I think is Barca bound unfortunately. Perhaps Skriniar in the summer, but I'd not seen that much of him personally.

Agree, his time here has been poorly managed. Thought he may have regressed too far to bother keeping him on.

The difference is that Bailly at least puts himself into the mix and makes things difficult for his opponent.
