Manchester United Vs Bayern Munich

Before we signed him I'd have said that. But he's posed next-to-no aerial threat since he joined, oddly enough. It's probably daft, but he doesn't look like he gets off the ground at all.

Agree with that after the 1st half of this game especially. There's no conviction to win a header. One in particular in midfield when a headed touch from him could have set us off as Bayern were on the offence. He's done feck all, but Maybe Moyes might give him shit to get more involved. That could lead to him being sent off though...

Cant believe Welbeck went for the Hollywood. Thats a feckin sickner. We wont get many opportunities & Bayern wont be feelin any pressure, considering they've a 2nd leg to come at home. Giggsy was invisible sadly..

Fellaini has to be the worst signing ever. Moyes has no clue in the market. Pathetic.

The Fellaini hate is pathetic, he's been as good as any midfielder today
I think we should swap Fellaini for Fletcher simply because Fletcher can calm things down when we get the ball and can keep pick out passes to help keep possession. Fellaini on the ball hasnt been good but off the ball he has had a decent part in keeping Bayern from scoring. His off the ball work has been good, he has covered a decent amount of ground in that work, he has held the team shape in the middle and tracked and covered passing options. On the ball poor, off the ball pretty good.

Carrick has done well, his composure is top quality. In a game like this when we get the ball he slows it down and give us everyone a chance to get out.

You sure haven't heard the old man: he doesn't have a scooby-doo of what he's doing, that M. Fellaini.

Giggs out for Kagawa... one prediction right. :D

Giggs off? Not so happy about that. Based on today Fellani should be off

The first 10 minutes of the second half is where they're going to be most dangerous. Get through that and I'll be a lot more confident.

Here comes Kags. Hopefully we can keep the ball better now but I won't hold my breathe. I just hope we can create another chance or two early on before Welbeck gets too tired for his pace to make a difference.

I know some will be disappointed Fellaini hasn't come off but as per post #1836 I think this sub is the right call

Agree with the comments about Fellaini. I'm really not one to have a go a players normally, but he's been poor to say the least. Think he must have given the ball away 5 or 6 times, some of them when we had a chance to break.

Kagawa for Fellaini would have been the brave decision.

Should have started with this moyes. Just don't blame it on him if we lose it.
Fellaini need to come off too.

It might be me being biased, but I hardly felt Welbeck's action was dangerous to himself or Martinez. He raised his leg to lead the ball on. Is he really just supposed to let Martinez win the ball, because it's too high above the ground?
You can't raise your foot that high when there is also someone else there. It is a clear foul, if he had hit Martinez would have been a booking.
