Manchester United Vs Bayern Munich

Kagawa once again on the bench is a farce. This is a guy who knows how to play against Bayern ffs. He probably even knows more about Bayern than Moyes himself.

Eh, this game is perfect for Welbeck.

He's also most likely starting from the left, which Hernandez has never done. Why do you think he is more suited?

Hernandez is more suited to a high pressing game, he can get at people a bit more than Welbz does. Positionally and tactically Welbeck is a sound player but I think we should be looking to press high.

I am both terrified and excited for the game, and also raging at Moyes for his selection yet somehow also thinking it might magically work.

This is so weird.

What line up did you want?
Fletcher in there, because he can actually run around and put in some energy. Kagawa, of course, because he's just a much better player then anyone else in that midfield. Hell even Carrick in defence would have been better then a Rio-Vidic partnership. Like this we can't get anything other then a hammering. Januzaj, Kagawa, Fletcher are all better players then the people starting in their respective positions.

I'm begging for a stream here guys! :( Sopcast if possible.

I've a bet with a mate that Bayern will score 10 over both legs. This line up is a good start.

Someone mentioned earlier you can get 25/1 somewhere on Bayern winning by more than 10 goals over two legs. I hope he gave you a good price!

Probably the most sensible lineup he could start with. Needs legs to make up for Giggs and to be headless chickens in chasing Bayern's shadows.

Key will be changing things at 60 minutes. That's when Kagawa would be most useful - when things are stretched a bit.

One thing is for sure - we need Rooney to absolutely on top of his game. So much pressure is on him to make the most of what will be very few touches, and very little support.

Why the feck can't they do more than 15 mins buildup on ITV? Though it's a bad state of affairs when I want more Adrian Chiles.
Agree with this it's nothing then they cram 4 long ad breaks in before KO too. Sky can be OTT at times but I much prefer it to ITV.

Yeah because Iniesta (rated on here as god on earth) and Xavi, Fabregas... were insufficient to give Bayern a proper game.
They were already shadows of themselves, and Barcelona committed suicide by going all out on the attack which cost them. They lost their shape completely.

Nobody else would do that in a two legged game. Arsenal kept the game tight, still lost, but Bayern couldn't score more goals even against a 10-man team.

Moyes is giving a motivational speech right now to make the players believe we can do it!

I guess this is the final hurrah for Rio and Vidic. Best CB partnership in the world for 2-3 years. Time for one last big performances.

Fair enough, I completely disagree with that - Welbeck is excellent at pressing. He's known for his work rate off the ball.

MOYES: "You can do it
If you B&Q it!"

I'm quite happy with that set-up.

Rio and Vida are the only stable partnership they have. We'll need all their experience to combat Munich's awesomeness. Let's hope their natural partnership and vast experience wil do us good. Let's admit, when they click, they're amazing together!

Valencia is needed to give Jones cover and remember, the last time we played them Valencia was a beast! He will put ina real hard shift and that's all we can ask for. Welbeck does the same down the left and he's better going forward.

C'mon people. We know what would have happened if we played an open attacking game. They would have ANNIHILATED us.

"Reeked of caution"?? Well our team is in no position to be confident enough to attack Bayern successfully and not concede. Moyes has gone for experience and stability. I think it's a good set-up and we will counter them a lot.

Let's be realistic guys, we have to be defensive. Even if it's OT. The last thing you want is a HUGE Bayern killing at OT. We need familiarity in the team and cohesiveness. Apart from Fellaini most of those players have played a lot together and they all work hard.

Buttner will have to super human.

ITV coverage is shit on a stick.

Kagawa has more energy, and a great record in games against Bayern, I hope Giggs proves me wrong and plays a blinder. I am also more than a little worried seeing Ferdinand at the back.

The only problem I have with Kagawa starting is that we're going to get penned in and have very little of the ball. I just can't see us breaking fast enough with the inch perfect passing needed to get to the other side. He will most defo come on later though, when Bayern start to slow down (unless the Barca medical team have started doping Bayern players too).

I wish I was attending this game, even if there is a good chance we could get thumped. The atmosphere is going to be electric.

Not British, I'm afraid.
Agh, didn't realise you had to in the UK to download it. I thought it was more an international app as they are funded through advertisement etc.

With Ferdinand and Vidic and that CM we can't press high anyway. We will sit deep as possible and will hoof the ball forward and hope for some magic moments from Giggs and Rooney.

I just hope the players aren't dreading this as much as I am. If they are we are going to get destroyed.

Moyes is giving a motivational speech right now to make the players believe he can do it!

Fixed. Because if we win, he'll be telling everyone how he's through to the semis. If we lose, it's the useless players who are out.

Nevermind Bayern, our players were shit scared of City from minute 1. They will actually have poo coming out right now.
