Manchester United Vs Bayern Munich

Did you want us to try and play a possession game against one of the possession masters? Would Kagawa have been able to tear new arseholes with 2 touches a half?

Two rapid players on the wings and Giggs whose passing range eclipses Kagawa's, and his vision is more than sufficient, is the perfect lineup for what Bayern is going to force us to do.

Exactly. The only selection I disagree with is Fellaini. Fletcher should've played.

Interesting tweet from delaney showing the formations. Didn't know they were supposed to do that in cl games with the team sheets. I guess it's common practise to basically lie about that coz neither are accurate I would have thought.

I'm sorry but it's real. No april fools joke. This is the lineup we're putting out in the champions league quarter finals against the best team in the world  Davie Moyes

 Any hope I had going into this game has all but vanished. This could be a long night.

Fellaini out with a Bayern shirt, pretending to be Dante. Might fool them and score one. Then just give it to him in the corner for the rest of the game.

Living in Germany and knowing lots of Bayern fans I can stock up for a couple of weeks and stay at home. A friend of mine(Bayern fan) just called and said good to see Kagawa not playing. He also asked me if Fellaini was the guy who looked like a dirty mop.

I think we'll score tonight, 1-4.
Who's going to pass the ball up to the forwards? Or who will run with it... Maybe we had a chance to get a goal but it'll be Giggs hitting a long ball up to somebody whenever he gets it to try and make something happen because nobody will be moving off the ball. I really can't see anything other then a hammering today..:(

Perfect lineup? No pace in midfield or centre of defense. That is as far from a perfect lineup as it can be.
And what CBs would play? None are fit. What other CMs can play? Fletcher isn't some speed demon or something. He doesn't have much to choose from. No matter who he picks it looks shit compared to Bayern.

The only midfielder we've got that could drift past some players is Cleverley and he's suspended from this game. We've also got nobody else to play in defense, and Welbeck and Valencia are the two quickest wingers we could put out. We've also got a fullback who lacks pace. Nothing else could have been done to the team, it's just silly thinking that because Kag caused problems for Bayern with Dortmund, he'd do it with United...

David Moyes is an idiot.

Marouane Fellaini. In the Champions League quarterfinals. He belongs at West Ham with Big Sam, not Manchester United.

What line up did you want?

Worried about Fellaini tonight, may very well get himself sent off.
Was just coming in here to say he's more likely to be sent off than not.

I hope it's not a straight red offence and that he's subbed out *when* he gets his yellow.

Once again Welbeck has been chosen ahead of Hernandez in a match more suited to Hernandez.

Eh, this game is perfect for Welbeck.

He's also most likely starting from the left, which Hernandez has never done. Why do you think he is more suited?

Kagawa has more energy, and a great record in games against Bayern, I hope Giggs proves me wrong and plays a blinder. I am also more than a little worried seeing Ferdinand at the back.

If Bayern don't mess about in the second leg, I think it could be.

Youse better hope it's more of a 4-3-3 than a 4-4-1-1. If it's the latter I can't see you doing anything.
Won't even reach 5 goals total.

If they score enough in this leg they will take it easy on us in the second.

Besides 10 men Arsenal only lost 2-0 (should have been 1-0, and even had a good chance to score and go ahead). People are starting to exaggerate a bit here. They never scored more than 2 goals in any champions league knockout game apart from the 3-1 against arsenal last year (and the Messi-less Barcelona drubbing that raised their reputation to this level).

Rio and Vida in defense with Buttner at left back.

We're fecked now.

Ribery and Robben v Jones and Buttner is going to be sooooo bad. They are getting absolutely slaughtered.

More than fellaini I am worried about rio and vida included in the squad. A vintage performance is required if we are to stand a chance tonight.

We'll win this, 2-1... We're fecking Man United! Come oon!!!!!!!!!!!

Not particularly confident but come on United!

Or any team with Moyes as Manager :(

I would also prefer Fletcher, Felliani lacks the intellegence for those big games, his positioning is shit and he will be favorite for a sent-off because of his stupid fouls.

Probably in here somewhere but just in case it isn't, we've never lost a home european game by more than one goal. Another record for Moyes tonight.

Yeah because Iniesta (rated on here as god on earth) and Xavi, Fabregas... were insufficient to give Bayern a proper game.
