Anyone knows of any good english rivers?

I have one which looks and flows great, but the birds aren't singing in english, if anyone wants a location let me know.

How about keeping our players sharp and motivated to win some silverware? We don't exactly have a lot of games at the moment. We've got a big squad and they need to play wherever possible. Too many gaps between matches could possibly affect our league form as well. There's just no downside to this.

And if Rooney gets a serious injury tonight?
I'm treating this competition very seriously... we're in it so I want to win it. I'm glad he's put some experience in there, and started with Rooney too... if we get a good win here, rack up a few goals, it makes our job away in Spain a lot easier... and considering we have a tough away game at Wolves straight after that (I think?) it's a great decision to play strongly here and then perhaps rest players in Spain.

Do I want us to win it as much as the League? Of course not... Do I honestly believe we have the squad and ability to win both? Absolutely.

If we get knocked out of this by Bilbao I will be bitterly disappointed.

I wish I shared your faith, but the injuries we've had this season have been staggering. I just don't trust the squad to stay fit. In Europe this season we've lost Cleverley, Valencia, Vidic, plus other niggles throughout. If getting knocked out of the UCL at the group stage, knocked out of this here, knocked out of the cup to Liverpool, and knocked out of the CC to Crystal Palace is what it takes to beat City to the league this season, I'll consider the season to be a very successful one, and be over the moon.

Wait till after the game to criticise the lineup, could come and bite you in the arse!

Its a second rate tournament. Sure we want to win every game and I hope the players take it seriously. I am sure they will. But IF things go wrong, I wouldnt be bothered. Its like the League Cup.

We should be taking it seriously, it could realistically be the managers last chance for a Eropean trophy. When you consider the strength of the Spanish two, and the fact we have no money and the fact were leaking quality youth players at a frightening rate.

I thought Smalling became Muslim.

You can't go into every game with the fear that someone "might" get injured... injuries happen, that's life. We've been unlucky with them this season sure, but they happen, and can happen at any point... no point in shirking away from games just because they "might" happen. What if Rooney gets through this game fine, but then gets injured on the weekend? Will we curse the fact that we played him against WBA at home?

Valencia is coming back to fitness, so is Cleverley... hell even Owen should be back soon! Which gives us a pretty huge squad that's only sans Vidic... it's not difficult to have faith that they can win both this and the league.

Alright, as Rio would say let's aaaaaaaaavvvvv it!

We are part of only 2 tournaments now, surely we have a good enough squad to compete in both the tournaments. Plus we have some players coming back as well. We have rested few players as well, I don't understand all this moaning here.

No, because the league is the priority.

You'd think so, but we rested everyone for the Carling Cup, and played two games in the FA Cup.

Anyway, I'm off to watch it.

We've lost more players in the league to injury. Injuries happen.

We didn't do too bad in 1999 and 2008 when we were chasing trophies on 3 fronts. What's the problem with treating each competition with respect? I think the fact that City might win the league this season is fecking with people's head.

Hernandez has showed some good touches so far.

fecking hate that whistling

Well not against us but I do sort of like it for some reason. Rather than home fans sitting there and probably not doing much, whistling feels more effective.

So Fergie insists on his no central midfield tactic....

Firstly europa league is bigger than carling cup. Secondly, Athletic bilbao is better than crystal palace. Thirdly, back then we were part of 4 competitions.
