Manchester United vs. Arsenal

Giggs has [;ayed keft back many times

I remember against West Ham in the 2010-2011 season......but it was against fecking West Ham.

Giggs against Ramsey or Cazorla for 80 minutes would be crazy.

I have no problems with the starting XI and Evra is never injured.

But of all our options on the bench today......i would bring on all other five players (Chicharito, Fellaini, Cleverley, Nani & Januzaj) instead of Giggs if we need a impact sub..........so i think Fabio should be on the bench instead of Giggs.

He was our player of the month for October. Think it's harsh to drop one of your best players of the season in a big game just because he isn't old enough yet apparently.
Was it busby who said if you're good enough, you're old enough? Some people seem to have forgotten that.

Play them too much and you are risking a lot. He's not fully developed physically yet, may be slightly fatigued still.

Rosicky is a huge miss for Arsenal
I think the lineup they put out right now is as strong as it gets for them, but without mertesacker. Rosicky wouldn't be starting if flamini was fit before and now that he's back he goes back to the bench.

You're putting one game ahead of a whole season? He'll come on with 20/30 minutes to go, which is more than fair.

He can't complain about the minutes he's had this season, Moyes has put lots of faith in him already.

I agree. Best defense is a good offence and all that.

Cool that Kagawa's getting the time, even if that means that he's tossed on the left. I hope that we'll outplay those cnuts.

And stop complaining about Adnan not starting, Moyes said he doesn't want to burn him out. Him being a sub today ( and he most likely will come on ) can be superior to him starting imo, he'll bring some freshness to the game no matter what the result will be.

For me it isn't Kagawa instead of Januzaj, for we could have started Valencia at RB with Adnan on the right wing.

However if it does come down either one or the other, Kagawa is a better option if the aim is greater control and influence through the centre of the park. Januzaj can still bring something to the party when subbed on.

More important than personnel however is that the system we use is sufficiently flexible, and that there is a intensity to out football.

*shrugs* We'll see i guess.

True but don't you think our best players should start in the big games! rest him before or after! but against a team like arsenal! I think he should start. Good lineup apart from smalling anyway, not complaining too much, just would have liked to see januzaj given the nod.

Agreed. Smalling at RB and Valencia as winger basically impairs our right side from having any contribution as an attacking outlet at all.

I dunno. I think Gibbs is prone to being very high up the pitch. Valencia is our best player for exploiting full backs who go roaming. I think he could have some joy on the counter today.

If Shitty don't win & we do, how many places do we go up?

We'll jump to fifth, ahead of Spurs and Everton on gd and 1 point ahead of City, 1 behind Chelsea, 2 behind Southampton, 3 behind Liverpool and 5 behind Arsenal(if we win). If City draw we'll be behind them on gd.

This might be going overboard but this could be Moyes' biggest win of his career if we do win.

City shouldn't be in our sight at all...they're not top, cutting that ridiculous point gap Arsenal have over us should be the motivation!

I just have the feeling it's Arsenals week, so they won't lose. I think a draw is the most likely result.

You're right. It is going overboard.

Results like beating Arsenal today will be run-of-the-mill for Moyes after today. He's just bedding in and the signs look good so far.

It is a massive game though. The importance doesn't come from what winning means but rather how demoralising a loss would be.

Simply asking the question, mate. I'd have liked to see him start today but overall I've no complaints with the lineup.

No worries. I expect Nani to come back in soon anyway. Maybe Moyes is just letting the discontent settle a little?

I hope Rooney actually plays as a #10 today. He can't just stand up alongside Van Persie for 90 minutes.

Sure, but Valencia also has a tendency to drop deep to help out his fullback. At least Smalling has the pace to match Gibbs, I think, and usually he is able to do well one on one against the attackers. I hope you are right. (awful post by me, but I hope you got the point)

The best team should be played, not always the best players. He's a great impact sub to have anyway.

One thing that's guaranteed is he won't be making substitutions like those shockers against Southampton.
