We had a full week to rest, so there shouldn't be too many changes.
Van der Sar and Evra may be rested. Vidic is back, so - at the moment - it looks for me: Lindegaard/Kuszczak in goal with Rafael, Smalling, Vidic and Fabio/O'Shea in defence. The strongest midfield and attack, as we don't need to rest anyone (or just injuries don't give us other choice).
I reckon it'll be O'Shea as he always seems to play a blinder against us. Hernandez to start too.
Its annoying how people insist on talking about other competitions preference when the FA cup comes up. There are plenty of "which do you prefer" threads and this is a big game against Arsenal in the latter rounds, losing to them at home would be horrible anyway but the fact they are the next top team currently adds and extra spice. Even Alex McCleish talked before their Carling cup final with Arsenal and responded to an about the excitement of the game question with "it would be great to win for the history of the club but I'd take staying in the PL for the next ten years over it", which again, there's no need to say, that win was brilliant for them and will be remembered, you can't choose (other than resting players),

If we had a lead against marseille I'd expect us to start with a strong side. As it is, it wouldn't surprise me if a few first teamers were rested.

Do we have any wingers fit for this, apart from Obertan and Bebe? I doubt we'll want to play Giggs with the CL game on Tuesday. Park was meant to be in contention for the Liverpool game and Valencia travelled with the squad, but I doubt either will be fit to start.
Not sure how we're going to succeed with no proper wingers. I'd be tempted to play Evra or Fabio at left wing with O'Shea at left back. The time we smashed Arse 4-0 Nani was available, and Park's always been around in other games when we've done well against them.

Evra's performances in defence were quite average. I'd give Fabio a chance, having both da Silvas on the pitch. Smalling and Vidic between them, as I don't think Rio is ready, and if he is, it's better to have fit for Tuesday (it's not needed to risk another injury with three days before Marseille). The formation looks like 4-3-3, but it shows our players', in this line-up, positions. Rooney playing on the left, Fletcher on the right when we attack, Berbatov and Hernandez up front. I don't expect Hernandez in defence too much, but Rooney playing on the left means it's Fletcher with Rafael on the right wing. 4-4-2 with Rooney and Fletcher would just look weird.

I think we'll go with a midfield 3 of Fletcher, Carrick and Gibson. Up front we'll see Rooney on the left and I think Hernandez central to exploit the high defensive line Arsenal play, unfortunately that probably means Obertan on the right, personally I'd rather see King there or even Rafael played there for a one off game with O'Shea at RB.

When we have two strikers in Bebra and Hernandez who are both best through the middle I think using one for each game makes the most sense.

If your going to have three strikers then I'd have Chicharito in the centre with Berba dropping in a deeper position or on the right.
