Manchester United v Everton

That was never a yellow to be fair, soft fk but the ref has some making up to do

We only seemed to come alive after Everton scored. Dunno what 'strategy' United thought they were employing but going for broke seems to work a lot better than what we saw for the majority of the 1st half...

Shoulder to shoulder is only allowed if the ball is in the vicinity.
Val played it forward, he was fouled.
The commentators know nothing..

It was a foul, bit harsh to give a yellow for it.

We're probably owed it though.

Shoulder barge, not a freekick, let alone a yellow.

Shoulder barge with Distins right arm? Rewind and watch it over, Val was getting away and he pushes him, feck Distin anyway, he's a strong lad and he's prone to using that a bit too much to his advantage, a certain FA Cup Quarter Final springs to mind.

Not a bad half. Everton are doing well. Rooney and Nani have done great as has Carrick. Val needs to get into the game. Welbeck has to bulk up, for a striker he is pushed away too easily

Nani has been a class above today.

He really hasn't, took a bit of time to get into the game much like our whole team. 2 brilliant crosses one leading to a goal and the second nearly contributing to a goal just on half time. He's slowly getting back to form, but he's certainly not been a class above, none of our players have.

We're gonna have to put ten men behind the ball and defend for our lives at City next week. Even if we somehow win today - and for that we need drastic improvement as we're not creating chances at all and can't get the better of Everton in any area of the pitch -, a defeat there would still be reason to be nervous with Swansea and Sunderland coming up afterwards.

Well he's been a class above all of our other players on the pitch, except Rooney.

It wasn't even a foul.
It was a foul. The ball was knocked forward. A shoulder barge is only legal/allowed if the ball is within playing distance.
Valencia had knocked it forward and was running towards it. Distin pushed him off. It was a foul.

Not a great first half at all, probably lucky to be going in level.

Nani and Rooney have been comfortably our best players, Welbeck has been awful, Carrick has been sloppy by his standards, Valencia looks knackered and has barely touched the ball.

I think we'll pump it up in the 2nd half, Hernandez needs to replace Welbeck.

Thought Carrick was very good. Welbeck not been bad either.

No, it wasn't. Both players just barged into each other and Valencia happened to be the one who fell over.

Do you watch the same game as everyone else?

Why the lack of intensity? We're playing in slo-mo. Just glad we've got a goal back before HT but, frankly, we've been a crock of shit.

That wasnt as bad as the tackle on Rafael, but he was past distin and running into open space. Not really the worst decision in the world.

Why is that freekick such a big issue? 1) Nothing came of it anyway, 2) we should have had a penalty when Rafael was kicked.

We need to pick up the pace a bit more. Valencia has had no joy out on the right, needs to pick up his game. Likewise with Welbeck.

This has got banana skin written all over it. Typical early kick off performance, both from the players and the fans. Everton looking far more of a threat. Nani our main bright spot.

Not too bad in the end. The goal gave us a wake up call and spurred us on to play better. We look in control of the match now and if it stays like this I think we'll win.

Do the players usually start the early kick off games this bad? I think it happened a lot over the years.
Might try to get up earlier on the morning?

Not at his best but clearly he has been our most dangerous and Rooney has got into it as well.
