Probably. If City was not involved in Ronaldo transfer would we have signed him? Say he was negotiating with PSG?

Not sure it's Ed or Murtough job to appoint/sack manager. Surely, this is not the direction they want the club to go.
We spend hundreds of millions to play outdated disjointed football. This scale of mismanagement is unprecedented in world football. No club is too big to fail.
Year in year out we are competing for Top 4 Cup and the team look really badly coached.
We need real top football people in charge. Not accountant and his yes men.

He's done the same thing ever since he arrived and they renewed his contract last summer. They’re not daft and will see how we’re playing. I don’t expect them to act now following this Everton performance, but they won’t let Oles run carry on for much longer if we carry on as we are in my view.
Unless we’re just looking for another person to blame…

He wasn't happy at full time was he.I think or hope given the investment Ole will be sacked when it will be realized this isn't working if it isn't realized already.
I hope club will be proactive at last.
Unfortunately it will probably take for us to have a horrible run of form, miss out on top 4 or go out of CL.
Thing is even in Moyes and Lvg 2nd season we had horrible runs of form and even though it was glaringly obvious things aren't working they were both sacked only when Top 4 wasn't possible. Which is so stupid cause if you change the manager before you can salvage that top 4.
With Ole we'll be there somewhere near top 4 but never close to the top and that isn't worth it. Ole has shortcomings he can't get over and watching us is painful and has been for a good while. He has taken us as far as he can and this can't and shouldn't go on.
As for CL, we went out last year but he stayed. Maybe if he fluffle our campaign this year he'll get the sack cause its a piss easy group.
Also I wonder if Ronaldo could have a say in Ole leaving?
That's what got me thinking. He wasn't happy at full time was he.

I'm pretty sure Murtough has absolutely no authority over Solskjaer.
We may have appointed a director of football or whatever we want to call it, but we're very much still in the Ferguson mode with Solskjaer at the helm.
The head shake as he walked off...He wasn't happy at full time was he.
Haven't you heard? Manchester United is now a training centre for people looking to get into football management/coaching. Experience at the top level is no longer a requirement. Why the feck would we have Darren Fletcher as a lead main for transfers?

David Gill, a UEFA executive committee member and former United chief executive, has been more present around the club and the incoming regime are said to be additionally amenable to Ferguson’s influence.
Love Alex Ferguson but isn't an ongoing issue that the club appear to be trying to recreate his management style but in the modern game?Another interesting quote.
I agree completely. This nepotism is killing the club and I'd assume Gil and Fergie say stand by your managerLove Alex Ferguson but isn't an ongoing issue that the club appear to be trying to recreate his management style but in the modern game?
It looks like himself and Gill have been wrestling some control back in the club. As far as managing the team I'm sure he leaves that up to Ole and doesn't get involved except when he's needed like after the Europa League final loss. Looks like it was Fergie and Gill that pushed Fletcher to take the technical director role.Love Alex Ferguson but isn't an ongoing issue that the club appear to be trying to recreate his management style but in the modern game?

And then, when someone was appointed to be responsible for evaluating Ole’s position and suitability for the job, wouldn’t you fecking believe that it turned out to be another one of his mates!Ole is the luckiest man I've ever known. Gets to play real life football manager, paid millions, doesn't have to achieve anything, his best mates want him and only him in charge regardless of how things go on the pitch, all while doing a terrible job...
I'd say he's second only to a big lottery winner in terms of luck.
It'll be weird - at least technically - if he stays on the board.
Any articles/tweets/smoke signals regarding the above?

Fletcher is very knowledgeable from what I've seen from him. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Fergie encouraged him to take a role at the club.
