It was more noticeable in the last 2 games. But you’ll see the full backs make under lapping runs similar to how city full backs make runs inside. Sancho and Rashford were finding through balls for them especially against Liverpool.I think there's more to it than that, having watched them a bit further.
Dalot seems to have been in more of a wingback role on the right, rather than inverted fullback. Meanwhile on the left, Malacia and Fred are taking turns to get forward while the other drops back into a back 3.
It seems to be quite an asymmetrical system. But not in a bad way.
