Didn't see a thread for this yet. The pre-match presser will start soon accroding to the official website.

Adnan and LvG will be talking to the press

Lou Macari can talk some shite.

Said that he thinks that Felliani will expect to play in the Club Brugge match. What, with zero minutes under his belt and no match rhythm, he thinks LVG will put him on just because he is from Belgium?

Chip shop level opinion.

VAN GAAL ON INJURIES
Louis van Gaal has told MUTV he has no major injury concerns ahead of Tuesday's Champions League play-off clash with Club Brugge.Marouane Fellaini is still suspended domestically but can play in Europe, while Phil Jones is gradually getting better after being forced out with a mild form of thrombosis.

Hmm....

I really wouldn't mind seeing junuzaj up front for club bruggs but Rooney needs games.

Such terrible questions to Adnan, repeating the same crap questions in different words hoping he slips up and says something stupid.

I like how he brought junazaj with him. Not sure why but i really do like it.

Was there a specific reason ?

This quotes are almost word for word the same as those in FM.

Generic questions give generic answers I guess.

Seemed to dodge saying anything about Rooney and got annoyed at the reporter suggesting putting Mata in the #10 position (though that was to be expected, as Van Gaal doesn't like when reporters tell him about tactics and things like that).

Januzaj going to the presser makes me think he'll start though. Not sure for who as I think Herrera and Schweinsteiger will start as well in midfield.

He's a bit of a dick at times really isn't he.

People want questions asked that might actually produce something worth hearing, and when half decent questions are asked this is his attitude.
it's weird, there are times where he will gladly talk tactics. For example there was a press conference where he explained the variations between 4-3-3 and how he prefers the pivot to be infront of two holding midfielders and acting as a second striker, he then went on to say that he doesn't mind playing with the pivot and two advanced CM's like last year because it can give him more control.

Then other times he just gives snappy cold responses like the we have just seen. I would love for LVG to explain why he does some of his decisions just from a learning perspective.

Can't always trust these journalists to report just the facts, they always protect each other. His full take on questions about Rooney is hardly unreasonable:
“All the media has written for one year that I have to put him in the striker’s position so it’s amazing that after two games you’re doubting your own opinions. I cannot understand that.

“I always have confidence in my players.”

No, twas my own guesstimation. Herrera looked good when he came on against Villa, and I think LvG 'owes' him a start at least.
It was painfully obvious to see how much better we were with BFS and Herrera on the field. 433 over anything at this point. But, it's a process, and will probably play 4231, with zombie passing and Rooney's magic first touch.

Anyway, we'll probably win 1-0 or 2-0.

LVG has a real point, but for all of us who wasn't calling for Rooney to be our main striker this season, its a little annoying.

Van Gaal actually has a point there. A fairly strong one as well, media and fans alike are quick to U-turn as always but Rooney's shocking showings so far don't help either.

Van Gaal sold rvp, so i doubt he'd keep rooney as no.1 without thinking he's good enough.

The Rooney issue will drag on until end of September I feel. He'll have to give a verdict sooner or later.

Another stick to beat him with I see. Why should he divulge tactical information? He's well within his rights not to. Fergie didn't, so why complain now?

It is the fact that the person asking the question has already decided there is an issue that needs resolving, implying LVG has not identified it. It would have been better to have rephrased the question about areas of improvement, since LVG has already said he expects us to get better. He gets anti when people act the trainer/coach/manager.
