Hmm....Lou Macari can talk some shite.
Said that he thinks that Felliani will expect to play in the Club Brugge match. What, with zero minutes under his belt and no match rhythm, he thinks LVG will put him on just because he is from Belgium?
Chip shop level opinion.
Because they're easy to answer. Why do they allow Simon Stone to ask inane questions
Herrera will start against Brugge.
it's weird, there are times where he will gladly talk tactics. For example there was a press conference where he explained the variations between 4-3-3 and how he prefers the pivot to be infront of two holding midfielders and acting as a second striker, he then went on to say that he doesn't mind playing with the pivot and two advanced CM's like last year because it can give him more control. He's a bit of a dick at times really isn't he.
People want questions asked that might actually produce something worth hearing, and when half decent questions are asked this is his attitude.
I like how he brought junazaj with him. Not sure why but i really do like it.
Was there a specific reason ?
No, twas my own guesstimation. Herrera looked good when he came on against Villa, and I think LvG 'owes' him a start at least.Did he say that?

It was painfully obvious to see how much better we were with BFS and Herrera on the field. 433 over anything at this point. But, it's a process, and will probably play 4231, with zombie passing and Rooney's magic first touch. No, twas my own guesstimation. Can't always trust these journalists to report just the facts, they always protect each other. His full take on questions about Rooney is hardly unreasonable:
“All the media has written for one year that I have to put him in the striker’s position so it’s amazing that after two games you’re doubting your own opinions. I cannot understand that.
“I always have confidence in my players.”

It is the fact that the person asking the question has already decided there is an issue that needs resolving, implying LVG has not identified it. It would have been better to have rephrased the question about areas of improvement, since LVG has already said he expects us to get better. He gets anti when people act the trainer/coach/manager.it's weird, there are times where he will gladly talk tactics. For example there was a press conference where he explained the variations between 4-3-3 and how he prefers the pivot to be infront of two holding midfielders and acting as a second striker, he then went on to say that he doesn't mind playing with the pivot and two advanced CM's like last year because it can give him more control.
Then other times he just gives snappy cold responses like the we have just seen. I would love for LVG to explain why he does some of his decisions just from a learning perspective.
