Just came online. Two things. How many players can we select this round? Also, can I select a player who hasn't been drafted?

BTW, Just curious. Can I select a player who didn't play under Pep just to ruin someone's MK pick? Like tactical reasons. :p

The first question is answered in the rules in the op:
B6 - There will be 2 reinforcements per round after R1 till finals.
I assume that everyone, who isn't picked yet, is available. Wouldn't make much sense otherwise now with the nationalteams becoming also eligible. Also if we only were allowed to pick from the managers who went out in the first round, I couldn't pick anyone now. That would suck

Can't really answer the second question. My personal opinion though. If he hasn't played a single minute under the manager, he shouldn't be eligible. The moment he featured in at least one game, you can pick him. Doesn't matter if you plan to play him or not. But @Annahnomoss has to answer if being part of the squad is enough.

Would be more interesting to see the discarded players tbh.

I asked that question re: reserving NT players in advance and was told it wasn't allowed (yet). It follows you can't pick outside the manager's pool.

To spice up the team, we add a bit of Gre-No-Li. We sadly can't include all of them. Gunnar Gren left Milan before Guttmann became their manager, but the other two were still around and key players in their title win, Gunnar Nordahl being again the league's top scorer with 27 goals. We don't need even more goalscorers in our team though, that's why the one we want in our team is the greatest Swedish player of all time.

"At the end of the 20th century Liedholm was voted the best Swedish player of the millennium by the readers of Sweden's largest newspaper, Aftonbladet."

LiedholmMilan.jpg

Nils Liedholm

"According to legend, it took two years playing for Milan until Liedholm misplaced his first pass at the San Siro, the rarity prompting a five-minute ovation from the home crowd."

"Liedholm had great technical and physical skills with a middle distance athlete pace and great versatility on the pitch, in fact, later in his career, he even played as a defensive midfielder and centre-half. Of the three players he was probably the most complete and the one with the best physical condition: he played for the Rossoneri for 12 seasons, and retired from football when he was 38 years old, after tutoring a young boy whose name was Gianni Rivera."

Here's a great blogpost about that wonderful Swedish trio:

The whining cry-baby personally welcomes Der Terminator, Lother Matthews :p, to the team

Not the Inter peak Lothar Matthäus mind you but still a complete midfield colossus nonetheless, who won 3 Bundesligas and a DFB Pokal Cup in the 4 years at Bayern under Lattek, scoring a cool 57 goals in 113 league matches.

@MJJ

1) Just no, you want the better defender next to Piqué, that defence was set up so that the RB did the foraging.
2) Flavour of the month, Busquets was excellent and I see no reason to break up that trio.
3) He already has Robben, Ribery is the obvious improvement
I agree with these three points completely. The second one the most. No matter how good Alonso is you can't beat that trio with a Pep player.

Villa would be more of a genuine threat there than Henry, although he presents the same type of peak form question marks.

No, not at all. It just meant that you can't pick anyone who is only eligible through the nationalteam in the first round and that those players become eligible in the 2nd round of drafting.

If you are not allowed to pick a player who would eventually be eligible surely you can't pick one that never will?

I honestly don't understand that .

1st round: only allowed to pick players who played under the chosen manager at club level
2nd round and all the following: allowed to pick players who played under the chosen manager at club level and at a nationalteam he managed

That's it, clear as day. It wasn't about when you're allowed to play them in a game, but when you're allowed to pick them in the draft.

But the original question was can a Player be picked that wasnt eligible for your team, just so another manager cant pick him.

for example, if I drafted Batistuta just so harms couldn't, even though im completely unable to actually use him.
