Not wanting to get ahead of myself but do we have any ideas for the next draft ?
I wouldn't mind a sheep style draft with elements of EAP's reality draft thrown in, namely the curveballs and unpredictability which had everyone on the edge of their seats. That would be fun.
Could we have a Rivals draft.. where players who have played in El Clasico/Milan derby/River Plate v Boca for example can only be selected?
So a draft where virtually every player ever is available ?
Or is there only a finite number of derbies allowed ?
Post-Maradona/Banned players list "Nations+Sheep" Draft could be good.
Just like the nations draft, we can have a club draft. Build a team with just one player per club.

Randomisation for reinforcements seems wrong. Especially given that those who picked their managers first both gave away their draft strategy and then got the short end when picking players last in the first round.
Debatable. Nobody forced them to pick that manager. By picking a popular one, you can say they gambled no one else would pick them. Not a disadvantage at all as if they were so concerned about protecting their strategy, they could always have gone for a specialised manager. crappy had a valid point that he was kind of shoehorned into Michels as all popular options were already taken (twice) and not many options were available to him.
For this match, top of the order had advantage in manager pick and bottom had advantage in player pick. Randomizing for reinforcements is not that wrong imo.
Anyway's it's Annah's headache.
I think we discussed it a while and then went back to the original rule, which kinda sucks, but well we all complained a bit too late and changing rules sucks even more. I don't care though.
I think a good lesson is to not make the NT restriction we did. Then the pool is a lot more balanced to be fair with more than enough great managers to be picked.
Just something to keep in mind and cover ahead of time next time. Having someone able to get first pick on players twice skews it unfairly somewhat. ..but its all handbags at this point
EAP will tear it up in the next round with Van Basten and Baresi/Guilt

Don't think anyone has access to Dutch players anymore. Yeah, reinforcements are simple and obvious.
It's very simple: the draft started at the top and the last one to pick a player was crappy at the bottom. On both counts, the snake restarts from the bottom.
True, this is an odd draft in that the relative advantage of manager or player first is unclear, as is picking last. Order is irrelevant to many managers but they CHOSE that scenario. It isn't for others, who picked their managers with one rule in place, therefore that rule has to be followed.
If it has turned out it's not to everyone's liking tough shit, that's for the draft master to foresee and plan for and if he hasn't that's it, all this randomisation stuff is nonsense.
How soon after these last couple of games will we be doing the reinforcements and the draw?
Problem is that most of us thought that the snake would restart from top(as first player chosen was from the bottom) hence the confusion when annah said otherwise.
And add some sort of time restriction to make it a bit more competitive.
Usually we start more or less instantly after the last game is finished, no need to wait.
I think the all-time / post-60s pool is getting a bit exhausted so reckon the next should be a bit more focused and simplified.

Yeah I agree, also think we should have a month or two break. This draft started before the previous one had ended!
No need to rush. We should easily make it through the reinforcement draft round over the weekend and we won't start any matches before monday anyway.
harms - Annah ends in a few minutes and the game between Pedro/me and Paolo ends in about an hour. I'd say we can wait that long. But I guess the first few in line can already prepare their picks. It looks like @The Red Viper @Edgar Allan Pillow and @Cutch will be the first 3 to pick.

1) Just no, you want the better defender next to Piqué, that defence was set up so that the RB did the foraging.
2) Flavour of the month, Busquets was excellent and I see no reason to break up that trio.
3) He already has Robben, Ribery is the obvious improvement
Ribery will lead to just as much 'peak under the manager' discussions as Henry does.
