Can we say that Gill and Sir Alex were our DOF, together? I feel Gill’s abilities are underrated on here.

They won't hire Cantona.Appointing a DoF would be one step forward. Appointing Cantona would be 3 steps backwards. Surely the club won't be that thick?
So Rachel Riley and Usain Bolt will be splitting the responsibilitiesThey won't hire Cantona.
I literally had a dream last night that we hired Big Sam as DOF
Eric Cantona evens? Isnt that a bit mental?
It wasn´t Dunphy, but the host (I suppose his name is Giles). I listened to the whole podcast, and it´s like a history lesson on Manchester United. I found it quite interesting, to be honest, and the host does not give the impression he is full of it. He´s quite firmly stating that Berta is coming in. There were some rumours about this in the newspapers also last fall. It guess it´s yet to see, though. To be fair, it's a podcast type thing with Eamon Dunphy. I don't think Dunphy is a terribly reliable source though.

It needs to happen, after today's announcement, the sooner the better.Won't happen.
I certainly hope not. If Ole doesn't get the job of manager, he needs to get away from the club. If he were to remain in any other role, it would completely undermine the new manager, and people would be calling for Ole to take over as soon as we hit a bad patch of form.Ole at 14/1 is tempting if he doesn’t get the managers gig.

Over 8K posts and literally no concrete news at all.
That's what I was saying above. We have no actual evidence the club is even looking to appoint a DOF. It's all based on speculation.
No one (from what I remember) had any concrete news about Ole's appointment until it happened. Maybe the club is doing away from the constant leaks and are doing their due diligence before naming anyone.Over 8K posts and literally no concrete news at all.
This is worse than a transfer Muppet thread.
There's no point signing a DOF if we're going to take the key decisions beforehand. Under such circumstances then we'll be signing a potential fall guy for Woody's mistakes rather then try to improve the team.
