Best of luck to him, he's no doubt a top class manager, hopefully he can prove himself on the biggest stage of all. Very interested to see who'll be part of the coaching set-up.
Hopefully we get a nice easy fixture for our first game. Hull at home, please.
Ferguson recommended Alec McLeish to Villa. Scottish manager's union at work again?

Here is my opinion on Moyes:
1)Wasn't my first choice tbh never even thought he was in the running cause of his lack of European experience.
2) Fergie hand-picked him. That means a lot.
3) He is recognized as a great coach in the premiership. Overachieved regularly with Everton and won manager of the year 3 times.
4) He has a certain class and humbleness about him. He won't drag our name through the mud, he wont leak stories to the media and he will behave in a way that I think I will appreciate.
5)He has something to prove. He is now at the big boys table, somewhere he has never been. Will he sink or swim? I think he will master the doggy paddle.
6) Our TEAM is good enough. This is the thing that is keeping me from totally freaking out. We have a very young and very good team. DDG,Rafael,Evans,Jones,Vidic,Carrick,Kagawa,Cleverley,Nani,Young,Zaha,Rooney,Welbeck,Chicharito, RVP. Add a few signings here and there and we can compete with anyone on a talent level.
7) It's a summer of change at the club.Fletcher,Nani,Anderson,Rooney,Scholes and Fergie in the same summer?! I hope Rooney and Nani stay. I've given up on Anderson.
8) Top three is the minimum for me. I hope he hits the ground running. A trophy in his first season would be huge. In Moyes we trust!
Liverpool have a British manager, and you're foreign.

Read this about Moyes. It'll help clear some myths about him.
Moyes, by contrast, tailors Everton’s style to each new opponent. He works out what the opposition does – and then tries to stop it.
His first test will be probably be against Wigan in the Charity Shield

Really?
The fact that he was Sir Alex' choice should be enough. Poor form to challenge his final decision at the club.

This feels really weird as a fan that's never experienced a change in manager.
Don't like that quote.
How's that? Unless you mean the "skint ethos" of the Glazers.
why don't you feck right out off this thread for sometime? Obviously trying to wind people up.

Oh for fecks sake.
The retirement of Fergie has collectively reduced the IQ on this board. He was at fecking Everton, ofcourse he's gonna look to stop the other teams best players.
Do you think Ferguson didn't made any plan for the other teams best player?
Christ.
