Mafia ii

The first one was brilliant, really underappreciated and seemed to have slipped past most people's radars. This one looks pretty damn good too, but it would have to won some valve-esque record for the amount of times its been delayed...though you'd hope it result in it being more polished.

Yeah, but i didn't (and indeed don't) have a pc powerful enough to play a game like this. The worst part about the loading times was that every time you went over a bridge it loaded, and each loading screen took about a minute and a half, it was ridiculous.

Was it?? I recall it ranked Second in GameSpot's game of the year awards. Probably similar ranking on other sites

New video:

One more month, can't fecking wait, will be a brilliant game!!!

Really? One thing I liked about it was it didn't have ridiculous requirements.

If this turns out to be good, it's definitely on my list.

I kind of wish they had set it in the '70s/early '80s. Base a lot of it on the DeMeo crew. So many "interesting" characters around during that period.

Demo lands 10th August. I really, really want this to be good.

:nono:

don't even challenge me, you cretin

I still remember that message you sent me in the newbies, when you thought I was a girl... In fact I still have it.

I know it for a fact that you're a girl, Karel. In fact, I also know your real name.

Yeah, walk away bitch. That's what I thought. You can't say anything now, can you, since I'm right?

In case anyone was wondering, this is what the spastic newbie memoirs thread is for really...

cnuts :nervous::nervous:

It definitely slipped under my radar anyway. Whens this coming out?

Mafia II does look good..

I hope its better then RDR was.

Give over. Red Dead was very impressive

:p It just wasn't my sort of game. It was too hancey fancey. I was really into it at one stage... but upon entering Mexico I got bored, and sold it on ebay for a small profit.

I get what you mean. The huge map was quite annoying, and a lot of the time i found myself browsing the caf while i let a taxi man drive me to my destination(was trying to make the game last longer:))

PlayStation Plus members will get exclusive access to the Mafia 2 demo tomorrow for 24 hours.

In an stereotypical Italian-American post on the EU PlayStation Store, it was announced that the demo would be made available through both Automatic Download and the PlayStation Plus section on the PS Store.

The demo will then be made available on the Store for everyone else on Wednesday.

The Mafia 2 demo date was first seen on a print ad, which said both XBL and PSN would get it on August 10 (tomorrow), but this announcement suggests lowly non-paid PSN users at least will have to wait a bit longer.

Anyone have Playstation Plus?

I am trying to play a lot of the half-completed games I currently own. I might pick this up in a few months if it's any good.
