Why would he want t to stay at United?
if we don't make the top 4 this season he's as good as gone. it'll be difficult enough to keep him out of madrid's lure next season regardless.
Because we are not winning anything and not competing in the later stages of the CL. Worse, we don't look like doing it in the near future.
Odd rationale for staying at a club
Slow news week on the transfer front. Stop panicking. We'll win every game from now till the end of the Season, finishing top 4 and De Gea scoring 3 free kicks 1 header, and 4 penalties. He'll stay, because by mid January he will be player/manager when Van Gaal is sacked. He'll mastermind our revival while showing Giggs the ropes, hand the team over to Giggs at the end of the season and then we will win everything possible for the next decade.

Great idea. In 2009 when we sold them Ronaldo, they also got rid of Robben and Sneidjer. We werent interested and signed Valencia, Obertan and Michael Owen instead.
