Madrid will come back for De Gea

Not sure I can blame him, we'll lose him deservedly because of LvG, if we'd have had a good season I bet my life he would have stayed.

We have far bigger problems than this to worry about atm, anyway it's very simple this time if there is a buy out clause they pay it & he goes. If there isn't we tell them to do one.

I know DDG is almost unique, but there are lot of good keepers out there if needs be.

He was never going to stay. A Spanish player whose heart, and whose girlfriends heart, is set on playing in Spain, and is a top player, will end up playing in Spain.

I don't think people would have been disappointed by Keylor Navas had that gone through.

How have we come to this is baffling. Don't have a settled CB pairing. Don't have any sort of attacking prowess. Don't know who the manager would be. Now we don't even know if we will have our GK with us next season. Amazing the shite the club has managed to mire itself in.

Since Shaw's injury we've completely and utterly collapsed, it's like the squad just gave up after that.

Shaw's injury has got nothing to do with any of the points I raised in my earlier post. If Shaw is the reason we have collapsed, the rut is far worse than we all know of.

that may be able explain our gradual downfall but in no way can it be used as an excuse. in fact it looks worse on the players' mentality if 1 injury to key player is enough to shake up the squad that badly.

I know it has nothing to do with it but that was at the point the squad collapsed, the squad up until then was defending well, controlling games and attacking with intent and scoring.

No we were not. Our football was dire and we kept lucking out with 1-0 victories in a few games.

We have just made too many wrong turns, the manager should never have been allowed to decimate the squad like he has done, imagine still having Evra, Nani, Hernandez, and Evans in our squad, they could make a massive difference and what did we get for them? A bit over £20 million combined, Rojo alone almost cost that! Yes I know wages come into it but even so it's an amazing situation we have created for ourselves.

DDG is now just a side note to all the other mess we need to need to sort out with the squad.

If there's a release clause, he'll go. We should get Navas in, needless to say.

I think we will throw more money at the problem while Woody will kneel in a church and pray for things to improve.

That's all we need now to have a moan and a panic, 17 lines in a gossip page?

I just want someone else to spend the money now, give Louis another two transfer windows and £150 m and you fear what we'll be left with, I could easily see him clearing out another 7-8 players given the chance, and replacing them with 2-3.

We scored with just about every shot. We were still creating feck all.

It's inevitable, I believe. Player apparently wants to go home, the capital club want him - not sure anything else will enter into it except the fee

They were always going to come back in for him, the fact is he signed a contract and if there is no clause then he stays. Why sign a contract and make it harder for a move?
We still don't know how last summers disaster changed his mindset on a move.

Looking at our state right now under LVG I really don't blame him. He'll probably go and hopefully we can secure a replacement (Navas?).

It's Dia de los Inocentes today, which is basically the Spanish April Fools day. Worth noting.

Cant blame him. This will be the final nail in our coffin as we enter a dipper like decline.

I can't believe anyone thought they wouldn't. He's off, sooner rather than later.

40m plus Navas is the minimum we should take.

Saying that, I bet there's a clause letting him out for 30.

Guys, this is The Telegraph's transfer rumours column..

Only way I can see him staying is if we replace lvg with pep in the summer or Jose after today's match and they build one of these reported bonds Jose can have with some players.

If LvG stays and we don't qualify for cl, he's off and I wouldn't be able to argue against it

At the start of this season i was critical of him wanting to go to Madrid. But now i wouldn't blame him at all.
