Who don't? But we should think long term. No point of hiring manager now, just because we are chasing top 4 at the end of season.
We ahould get the right manager, even if it means waiting for next summer, and not getting top 4 this season.

Ancelotti will apparently be announced tomorrow at Munich, Guardiola is supposedly joining City and the rumor says that Roma are after Mourinho. We need to act now, not in 6 months.

Jose has to be our next manager.

The club is big enough to tame him and he is a big enough manager to match our ambitions.

How many points they got in that league doesn't alter the fact the football was mostly shite to watch.

I meant pissed off to Italy and Spain.

Yes did a runner, didn't get his own way and took his ball and went home after the first bad spell.

I am using real facts, he's a coward as he showed this season and his teams play horrible, negative football, it's one of the initial things that set him and Abramovic at loggerheads the first time, he want flair and style, not the prgamatic drudge Jose serves up.

You basically want him just because you think he'll win something and be damned if it's by the same shitty style of play as LvG is offering up and what he'll do the team once he throws his next hissy fit when the team hits a rocky patch.

Nonsense.

Did you actually watch Real Madrid or Inter teams?

You don't score over 100 goals a season by playing shit football.

Mostly shit, I suggest you actually watch the football. You confusing Benitez Madrid with Mourinhos.

Does anyone think Guardiola coming in and suddenly we will turn into Bayern or Barca? Nope. He'd need about 5 players for that.

Last 4 prem results have been dreadful. Getting very hard to defend him now, I can take losses and poor performances occasionally but every game without fail shows that there are issues behind the scenes.

When you see the stadium half empty with time still on the clock you know its starting to cost money and revenue.

Lost games is one thing, lost revenue is entirely different.

LVG is gone.

Yes I watched his teams at Inter and Real, both were soulless machines, the amount of goals scored does not make the football exciting and attractive, it makes it effective, there's a difference, you are confusing the two.

No, I never said we'd suddenly be Bayern or Barca under Pep, but his style is what we need and what we should aspire to, we can get him the players he needs over time but he would take us in the right direction, as would Ancelotti or even Blanc. We already have one egomaniac nutter in charge, replacing him with another nutter who has an even bigger, more cancerous ego and plays even duller football would be out of the frying pan into the fire.

Been backing van Gaal since the day he was appointed but I've had enough. He needs to go, I can't see it improving with him in charge and I just hope the board see that too. There's a world class manager available in Jose Mourinho who would love to manage United and I think he's capable of turning it around and actually bring success to the club. I'm not the biggest fan of Mourinho but you can't deny he's a brilliant manager

Like has been for Rodgers and Mourinho, the players are playing against him.

Not a chance for him to save the job

Well you have to remember that LVG was only brought in and given £200m to 'steady the ship', apparently. Give me strength.

The lowering of standards at United these days is utterly staggering.

I think it might be time for him to go. We're a complete shambles right now. There's the moyes feeling with united of the team having fallen apart. But i really don't want Giggs taking over.

The Glazers won't care as long as the stadium is full at kick-off.

+ 1 (why can't I use that together?). I do not want Mourinho as manager, sure he'd win things for us but we'd have to put up with Chelsea-like football for 3 years and then we'd be left in a state worse than we are now. LVG for all his failings will leave us a pretty decent squad and a few encouraging youth players who haven't been looked out of place in matches, we will also have a culture of ball retention. Appoint Mourinho and you can kiss all that goodbye as he will go after 26-30 year old players, ship all the youth players out on loan (never to play for us again) and players like Mata and Hererra will be sold and Martial will probably be booted out to the wing (or the bench), while Rooney will continue to get lots of games because he works hard. Plus will will have the Mourinho circus to deal with... Nope, I'd rather not go there.

Pep would number 1 for me, especially following on from LVG. Carlo would be a good choice, although I'm not sure about his defensive record. Klopp would have been my 2nd choice, it's a travesty he's gone to Liverpool. Blanc would be interesting, not really considered him. Might be too early for Tuchel but he's up and coming and as a total left of field option: Pardew. Simone would be a Mourinho like option for me, not as bad but he just wouldn't suit the club imo.

I'd add I've backed LVG all the way and for what he has tried to do with the club but it's the present results that count and he's lost the players from the looks of it. As much as I like him, he can't carry on and he's not going to change thing (stubborn fool that he is).

Exactly, appointing Mourinho would undo the only good things that LvG has done while here, any of the youth progress will be shunted aside as he hunts his senior pros, and we'll never get rid of Rooney under Jose, it's a complete recipe for disaster to bring him in. This is just the footballing side of things, I am tired of LvG waffle but wouldn't fancy replacing it with Jose's juvenile nonsense.

Pep is far and away the #1 choice, everything after him is a step down. Never thought of Pardew as I don't like him and I think he's more of a mid table survivor than a top team prospect. Simeone does have some of the same character issues as Jose I agree, but he would bring a fire and passion we lack right now.

I can't see any way for LvG to remain as he's lost the players and fans it seems to me, but at the same time I don't like the current outlook of what we'd do if we did sack him, as if it's done now I can only see Giggs or Mourinho in the job, both of which would spell trouble.

We need to get him to go otherwise it will be cupless and a top 4 battle again. I don't even see a top 4 finish because the players seem to be sick of the tactics. We need someone ruthless with real charisma to come in.

Just changed my vote to out him now, cause it looks like we're in freefall. Lost confidence that Van Gall can steer us into the top 4.
Ancelotti for me.

If Pep truly is on his way to City and Ancelotti to Bayern, then maybe we really should go for Mourinho. I haven't been for Mourinho but his track record is obviously brilliant, and we can't keep dwelling all the time and end up with Ryan Giggs.

My first choice was always Pep. But the situation we're in, Mourinho isn't sounding like the worst idea.

I've defended LVG a lot here, but it's beginning to feel like the end. This current run is unacceptable for a Manchester United team.

I don't have an ideological opposition to playing Rooney: I'm fed up with him limiting our chances of winning. There's no way Jose would play Rooney at the expense of winning.

Mourinho's just had an absolute meltdown disaster, and doesn't play exactly amazing football himself.

it'd be a risky step.

The "safe" step is to keep on with Van Gaal for a bit longer and think about it more. And then I suspect we'll buy more time by letting Giggs n gang have a f'ck about for a few months as caretakers

Bayern bound in my opinion. It's either Mourinho now or Guardiola in the summer for me, having said that Giggs as interim manager doesn't fill me with any sort of confidence. I've changed my mind, like others have said we're in freefall and action is needed now.

Another thing with Jose is that I'd trust him to get in the right players for us in the transfer market.

I don't have that same feeling about LVG.

Mourinho will be after Stones, Griezmann, Matuidi and/or Verratti.
