It may sound arrogant from me but whether we'll win or not the FA Cup will mean feck all to me. The season has been dead for a long time and each match (with a few exceptions here and there) felt like the process leading up to the execution. After Moyes I felt so angry but this is so different, I'm having trouble finding the exact words. I just want LVG to go as he should have many months ago.
A trophy could potentially be a massive boost to this group of players though. It would also help the new manager coming in as a lot of players will be coming back from summer break on a high on the back of winning their first English trophy.
Obviously this is only a potential scenario but winning the trophy can only be a positive.
It will also go down in our record books and would be nice to equal Arsenal's record and closer to becoming the FA Cup leaders.
Believe me, next season when we all look back at this dreadful season, it will be far nicer to know we at least won a trophy on the back of it. It's not like it's the Carling cup (or whatever its called now).
