It actually angers me. That he's still in his job and hasn't been sacked.

I never reached this level of anger with Moyes. Partly because he wasn't given this amount of time and money but also partly because it was evident he was way out of his league.

But it's different with LvG. The mere sight of him, pisses me off. That smug look. The arrogance. Urgh. I can't take it. I don't know how I'll get through another season of supporting our team with this manager in charge. & some of those cowards who plays for us.

feck sake man. For my own sanity and health, I hope so. The mere sight of the man angers me.

I haven't been able to bring myself to listen to a press conference of his in months now. Having to endure watching him in the dugout is enough for me.

The mere sound of his voice makes my piss boil. I wonder what it's like for players having to sit in the dressing room listening to it. If any of them are absolutely sickened by him yet.

LVG will leave in the summer, there is no question about it.

Managers almost never stay for their last year of a multi-year contract. Either they are given an extension, or they leave. It is impossible that our owners will give him an extension. So he is leaving.

It would be pointless to stay for his third/last year. To do what? There is no direction. Nothing is improving. And next year, all the players will be less interested, since they will definitely know that the manager is leaving.

That's why I just post the quotes from United's website. Because I am the same and refuse to actually listen to him.

Thought yesterday was a great example of where LVG has failed. Despite playing poorly we lucked our way to a lead and yet couldn't keep the ball well enough to keep control and see the match out for at least a draw let alone hold on for the win. LVG has killed the attack with the way he's asked us to approach games in the name of possession and whilst the stats might say that we dominate the ball in reality how much of that is that the other team allowing us to? I'd say a fair bit as West Ham showed that if you put us under pressure we struggle as have others this season. There's nothing really special about how we keep the ball, I'd say any team could really do it the way we do because we keep it in areas most teams are happy for us to have it.

I expect that he'll stay but find it hard to believe there's a good football rationale for it. Even talking about him bringing through younger players is generous for me. Yes he's used them but largely only cause he's had to and when he's got options with exception of Rashford who's made himself undroppable (and aided by fact that there's so few other options to come in for him).

It has been a disaster with LVG in charge. I wouldn't rule any player out of having a future at the club until they are given a chance with (hopefully) the new manager.

During Atkinson's reign football was exciting and swashbuckling, during Fergies first few years football wasn't shite we were quite good, we had choccy mcclare banging in goals breaking utd scoring records in the process, it was only the 89 season we were worryingly bad , hence the Fergie out campaign, to which I belonged, to my embarrassment ! I went too every home game and quite a few aways, it was nowhere, and I mean Nowhere as bad as now.

I really appreciate reading the opinions of people like you who were around before the adventure well and truly took shape with Fergie. Matches weren't televised to anywhere near the extent they are today, and I guess you'd be lucky to catch a few matches with your team every season, so it's the match goers from back then who can give us a proper opinion on what it was like.

Thanks for sharing, and well played for owning up to the bolded part

Exactly right.

The West Ham game summed his tenure up pretty well. Played unconvincingly, defended quite poorly but kept the score down through a combination of luck and top class goal keeping. Then through some individual quality actually got into a winning position only to sit back and bottle it.

Also, very fitting that 2 years in he has 2 midfield players in his first choice back 4 and their individual defensive mistakes caused the goals thst cost the team the game (and possibly cost him his job). Valencia's lack of awareness for Antonio's goal was incredible.

Valencia was shite from the 2nd minute when he cleared the ball and it fell to a Hammer player.

Valencia does a decent job at right back as does Blind at centre back. But Valencia does not have good defensive instincts. He doesn't spot danger. He is fine when his pace and power allow him to recover but the position he took up was just crazy.

There's a lot of talk about Smalling's distribution but I couldn't care less. I sound like an old fart but in my opinion a defender should be good at defending.

Right now LVG is top of my list.

I don't care about other people and how things will be perceived in 30 years tbh
So let me get this straight. Your not going to celebrate next Saturday if and when we score? If and when the final whistle blows and we've won our first trophy in 3 years?

I get that the football played under LVG has been utter muck and will leave somewhat of a sour note on a potential cup win. But I simply don't get "not giving a feck" if we win the FA Cup or not.

I've been avoiding this season's stats as they're beyond depressing.

It is funny how some United players have great stats... just not for LVG and certainly not with the main team.

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...tball-news/man-utd-pereira-van-gaal-11321479?

The 20-year-old has made 12 starts and one substitute appearance at U21 level this campaign, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists. The figures are so impressive Pereira is contributing to a goal every 75 minutes.

Yet he can't even make the bench and players like Lingard are starting almost every single game despite offering close to feck all. I really don't get why Vangle is prepared to use Lingard as a number 10 instead of giving Pereira a chance.
Seriously? 'cause Vangle is a fraud who is also an arrogant prick. I would have thought that answer is the easiest to know after 2 years of that mad Dutchman in charge.

Of course I know, it's just a figure of speech. We all know he's a useless fraud.

I can't tell you how I'll exactly celebrate but one thing is sure it won't be an explosion of joy even if we win it. LVG has drained any kinda happiness and excitement from watching United, completely

This just shows you how unfair this world is. Some manager got sacked for way less yet LVG who should have been shown the door MONTHS AGO is still around and even still has a chance to remain around despite having done a very poor job.

It's quite funny how ruthless he was to "deadwood" and got rid of various players because he deemed them useless yet he still has his job despite doing a poorer job than the players he rid himself of. I feel like he's stealing a living now, he's remained employed despite continuously failing at his job and he's been cut slacks about it by his employers.

LVG must be thinking he's hit the jackpot with us. All of Bayern, Barcelona got rid of him as soon as he started failing yet he found himself still in a job despite worst failure than in those previous clubs. Shit like that only happens in dreams.

There is also a reason why LVG has kept failing as a manager for over 10 years(since the early 2000 really) and only found himself national team jobs. He was/is outdated and it's not working for him any longer. Stubbornly sticking with the guy after embarrassing failures is just mental

He is arrogant. I will not pick the lad held up as your brightest talent, but I Louis Van Gaal will turn a journeyman into a star. Haaaaaaa!

If LVG would announce his retirement before the FA Cup Final, all fans (even the ones who want him gone) can get behind the team and LVG.
If we don't make the announcement, the bitterness which some fans have towards LVG, will supersede any joy which will be had from winning a game/trophy.

It'll be hard enough to stop the board using the euphoria of a Cup win to continue LVG's reign, let alone City gifting him top four.
