We haven't 'reverted back' to anything. We're just not playing Shrewsbury, Midjtlland or a woefully out of form Arsenal. The signs were all there against Watford. We simply don't win away games against well drilled back 4s.

Same old shite served up. I don't understand if the players decide all of a sudden to become shite in alternate matches?

If that was the case we'd be watching a masterclass today.

Rashford who was so good with taking his man the last few games is today standing and passing it backwards instead of taking his man. Sums up Van Gaal's 2 seasons with us for me.
Because we have 10 men he's taking less risks with the little possession he had. Rashford has been shown up in this match for the age he is. Was basically non-existant when we had 11, although that can be attributed to our piss poor buildup.

The first 30 minutes were the same old shit. Looked like there was plenty of space and we spent half an hour juggling the ball about out backline as if we were playing one of the great teams in Europe. Pathetic cautious approach from LvG - dropping Memphis was a clue as to how we were going to approach this.

He'll have the Mata excuse today, completely forgetting they were the better till that point.

Yeah it's his fault that Mata picked up two stupid yellows leaving us up against it for most of the game.
It's been this all season Zoo, my old son.

All the red card gives him is another excuse to stay at a party nobody wants him at.

I think that he, literally, had three touches on the ball before the sending off. Just like any other striker who's been played for us under Van Gaal, he's not going to offer much in such conditions. Same old, same old, before the sending off.

Wonder if those who changed their vote to 'assess at end of season' will again change it back to 'sack him now'.

This is the real LVG folks, the last 2 weeks were us being blessed by enough injuries that he couldn't play his tumescent shit on a stick brand of football.

He can at least try. He has plenty of space but he waited and then passed it back.

Even when we had XI men, Herrera would receive passes with his back to the opposition goal and then pass it backwards to Blind or whoever. He is supposed to be the "creative" midfielder in the two. What kind of a fecking shit is that?

It's horrible watching, and it was from the start.

Both liverpool and arsenal made attacking substitutions when down to 10 and proved successful. Let's see how he deals with this situation.

Awful decision to start Blind.

Awful decision to start Carrick.

Poor decision to drop Memphis.

Awful substitution.

LVG out.

Clueless.

By taking off our most attacking midfielder to bring on another defensive midfielder, and WBA score.

His lackeys will use Mata's red card to absolve him of any blame. He is the Teflon Don.

Phew was getting worried there. Back to narrative!

feck off Van Gaal. We've looked more vulnerable without Herrera's energy.
Was he playing at a tempo that was too high for Van Gaal's liking?

How much longer must do we have to put up with this shite.

Mark my words Chelsea and Liverpool will finish above us with this clown in charge.

A shit negative substitution. You're not trying to win a match putting on Schneiderlin for Herrera.

Only positive from this it makes all those mental cases who were starting to change their mind about sacking him realise how stupid they were. We can not have another year of this bollocks.

Out. Out. Out.

No improvement against these physical sides away from home. Same dross for 18 months now.

He sets us up in the most risk averse way possible and it actually has the opposite effect, it's mindboggling - we're more prone to the counter, have less time on the ball and the opponents are more comfortable in possession. It is hilariously counterproductive.

We have a choice... we keep LVG and he maintains top 6 football with little success but bringing through youth. Or we get a winner like Mourinho in and probably get into and stay in the CL, challenge for the title, possibly win trophies but there will be less emphasis on youth. Which will it be and how much does beinging through youth mean to you?

The amazing thing (well, not amazing, really) is that West Brom haven't shown the slightest ambition even with 10 men. We were growing into the game in the 2nd half, Martial made a couple of good advances, and he takes Herrera off! The man is clueless with his subs. He is just as bad if not worse than Wenger. You could roll out a truck filled with coffins to play against you and he'll still mess it up.

feel a little sorry for him today, plans it all week, then a player messes it up, leaving you facing a 75min slog with ten men.
Asking a heck of a lot to get through that.

Top 4 has faded again. Need to do well in the cups now.

We looked shite before the red card. He dropped too many players who were in form and replaced them with shite. It's his own doing.

Summed it up

*you did miss his decision to start darmian over varela though

I cant wait to see him gone.

Its not just been this game either. I have been convinced since some of his baffling decisions in pre-season and the window that we are going nowhere under him.

Yes, there have been some little highs under him, but he's has for the most part been found out in this league. He's past it sadly, and we have simply gotten the rotten carcass of a once good manager.

Did you not watch the first 25mins?
