My theory was the same that we were waiting for Pep, Jose must only want to start in the summer that is the only option that should be considered rational and sane.

Don't see why this would change anything. We were out of the race for Pep a long time ago seemingly and Mou was available at Xmas for us. If we wanted him and by all suggestions he didn't want time out then surely we would have got him then.
Tbh though wouldn't be surprised if we did do something out of the blue like Mou though, our management seem to be reactive rather than proactive.

I meant just getting the team to play hsi style properly. Obviously Jose has Prem experience but giving him 6 months to have a good look at the team and identify his perceived weak links and plan for next season would be a great idea.

Well they have a very old squad this will take some time. And the PL is nothing like Germany or Spain.. But the sad part is city have money to burn and players want to play for Guardiola.. That's really frightning..
