Don't think that's true. According to the Mail story Woody is thinking about sacking Van Gaal and has talked to the players etc. and Sky confirmed the players part.

The Sun just want to see people lose their shit.

so now the graun are reporting it too? ... i'm starting to believe it's true.

absolutely incredible that we haven't sacked him already. is this some fecking joke?

Guardian, Mirror etc.

If they are all picking the story up then it is most likely a briefing, absolutely fecking stupid, it's not going to turn around under LvG, we are just piling on more misery.

Go google Ed Woodward, click on images and then comeback and tell me that you don't believe it.

So 3 times he's asked to resign, he's said how sorry he is that he can't match up to expectations, but yet again we are seemingly keeping him on.

Yep, I actually can't even blame him now. This is all on Woodward and the board.

As a frank can't help feel let down by the club last few months, I'm slowly losing love off all the reasons that attracted me to begin with.

Guardian are saying Woodwood told him to go away and discuss with family, and there will speak again tomorrow. All's not lost then yet.

SURELY we have either Pep or Jose lined up for the summer if we're convincing LvG to stay.... Potentially ties in with the fact Giggs would only be happy with the job permanently and wouldn't be an interim again

I don't see the point in keeping LVG. Perhaps it's true...that Woody doesn't want to cede power to Fergie/Giggs/others however short term.

If it's true, I hope the fans start shouting Woodward out.
What a fecking wankstain in our club. He's going to destroy it. Christ, I'm fecking angry now.

The United fans have seriously nothing to say. In every other sports teams in the world, the fans have everything to say.

I can't for one minute believe that's true. Woodward would've snapped his hand off, surely? Just because several sources are running the same story makes no difference. Just copying each other.

It's been clearly the boards fault since Norwich, nothing new here. Woodward is so far out of his depth its ridiculous.

But what does 'offering to resign' mean? Either you resign or you dont.

Giggs would know if it was the case and he wouldn't ask for a long term deal, if it's true, so no we have nothing other than Woodie banging his headed against a wall-y.

Ye hopefully the discussions with him family will reaffirm his desire to resign.

Guess it's a waiting game. Tomorrow is D-Day.
Although the Guardian do then go onto to say if he loses against Derby, we'll accept his resignation. How many times have we heard it boils down to the next game? feck off, as if one game makes upo for the shit-on-a-stick we've been served up of late.

fecking hell.

What the hell is Woodward playing at?

As much as anything, if he has offered his resignation THREE times, that would indicate that his heart really isn't in it anymore.

It's not entirely his fault though, if Fergie and Charlton would stop wanting their boy Giggs in and scuppering the Jose idea this power struggle wouldn't be happening either. I don't care how goofy Woodward seems at times he can't think LvG will turn this around and LvG offering to resign 3 times suggests he knows he can't turn it around, so him staying on seems linked to Woodward wanting to avoid Giggs getting in and he's right to do that IMO.

Too many people are reporting this. Woody either has Pep's signature on a new contract hidden in one of his desk drawers or he's a stupid fanny.

Moyes wasn't extended the same leniency and unbelievably they're now both as bad as each other. Can't believe I'm saying that after a promising first season.
