They're his players. Many he's signed and those he chose to keep. If they aren't good enough it's not their fault. It's the managers.
Who would you not have bought? And then I don't mean judging in hindsight. Every buy was a logical one, and the only players he's sold were the players that would be on the bench anyway. You could argue that it has impacted the thin-ness of our selection, but based on past performances I think that Nani would not have contributed more than Lingard has. Also, you can't replace 18 players in one squad in one season, so buying many more players wasn't really an option either.

This Giggs fairytale is going to end so bad. Get frigging Mourinho and stop messing about.

Is it? At this rate we will end up finishing 7th no champions league football. Let's not forget the top 4 during Moyes era was stronger than the top 4 currently, not factoring in that we have tallied the least amount of points in the PL era. VG had a full range of summer activity, ripped apart half the squad without replacing the numbers. He's done just has bad has Moyes

Jaysus you might be right.
I think Moyes' season seemed worse because of how sudden it was. It was like being punched in the face or strangled while LVG is more like being put into a headlock or smothered.

Too dramatic?

Some positive looking headlines from multiple sources. Any of them reliable?

Embarrassing if that story is true for a number of reasons.

1) Were the board and Ed only now aware that the shit has hit the fan.. how incompetent can they fecking get.
2) Giggs.. Giggs.. are you fecking kidding me, if it was because Jose and Pep want to join in summer, understandable but because you genuinely think he's the best option? are you a fecking imbecile.

This club makes my blood boil. Run by a bunch of morons. Jesus.

By the way this rant only stands if the story is true*

I hadn't been impressed with Depay from the little I seen him. I'd never seen Darmian play so there's two. I wouldn't have signed Rojo, Romero, Valdes, Blind and if I couldn't replace so many players in one go I wouldn't have got rid of so many in one go. If you're claiming the players aren't good enough then which players are? Most of his best players are ones signed for him or before him. Martial aside none of his signings are amongst our best.

You've got a point, actually. We still felt like we had an air of invincibility when Moyes came in. Even those of us who didn't particularly rate Moyes, and didn't feel he was a good appointment (such as myself to an extent), generally didn't predict us as finishing around lower than 3rd, or 4th at a push. We sort of just laughed at claims that the club could possibly fall out of the top four. So it was a shock when a title winning side suddenly fell apart, and were getting thumped at home by title contenders and finished below Moyes' old club.

It's not so new with LVG, though. It's our third season outside of the top three, and while it's immensely frustrating, it's almost feeling oddly predictable and indicative of the club's current direction as opposed to shocking and unexpected.

Yep - some of his signings leave a lot to be desired. Rojo was a panic buy - he's not convinced. Depay was a superstar in the making according to Lucky. No. He is not. Blind has been found out very quickly (to be very, very slow). Romero and Valdes don't really count, but thank our lucky stars that a fax arrived too late. The only mitigating circumstances that might suggest this is not right is that Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger and lately Martial have all been pretty mediocre too - so that's got to be down to the manager. They are not all shite players.

According to Giggs' way of thinking: I've been a Caf member for several years; therefore, I should be allowed to become Niall.

It is probably rubbish. The papers also claimed recently that Giggs told Woodward to seriously consider bringing in Mourinho. If that's true, this is not the actions of a man looking to sieze all control as soon as possible.

Not at all, just asking people to judge other teams as they do United. If we have the 3rd worse performance record in the league after 'n'games, but are 5th in the league, maybe the other teams are also a bit crap. Not defending anything, just pointing out inconsistencies in arguments. Just look at the comments post Chelsea, and now they turn over Arsenal. So are we going to get a shit load of comments about that.
Unfortunately, with a club like United, they will always be held to a higher standard. A club like Southampton, Norwich or Leicester will consider just staying in the Premier league a success, but that is not the case with United. After the money they have spent, they should be fighting for the title, not fighting those teams to get a top 6 finish.

This sounds harsh when talking about a true legend of the club, but in the context of Giggs becoming our manager, he should be out on his arse along with the arrogant fool, LVG.

The fans are booing and now Van Gaal himself has admitted he's incapable of turning it around and that he's let the fans down. It's long overdue. Surely Woody can see it?

The Mail article is really promising as well. If it's true, he could feck off in the next couple of days.

Wow, the Caf's tweets about Mendes' shortcomings this year are very true.

Good. He's a bit of a cockroach.

I think he will leave officially tomorrow by mutual consent. I think it's already been done.

I think he'll demand apologize during his next press conference.

The Sun's reporting that he's on the brink (according to someone in the Newbs').

If that Mail story is true (ha!) get rid of the players in question as soon as possible.

Because the players stopped believing in a manager who takes weird decisions? Nah.

The Sun really is pure muck.

Yes, though it's true that The Sun makes toilet paper seems like the Magna Carta, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.
