It's a strange flow of flaws from the spine of the club resulting in dross on the pitch.

Rooney still a first XI player ... due to Van Gaal...

Van Gaal still managing United ...due to Woodward (or the other board members).

Club is in a mess.

Can I have a go at managing us? I mean, my team talk would just be "Just go out there and enjoy yourselves" every game but I'd give it a damn good try.

Mutv reporter: "Well done today, Louis"

LvG said Morgan played every game during Christmas so that's why he rested.
We need Morgan more for Newcastle game anyway. Good that he and Carrick will be fresh for that game.

2 more than in the first half, so clearly what the manager said at half time worked. He changed it up and got us going second half.. got us the win. What more do we want? Klopp nearly went out to Exeter yesterday and looked ragged as feck.. we looked controlled and disciplined.. never in any danger.

Only slight disappointment in that game was Herrera.. his touch could have been a bit more precise. Rooney looked better in second half once he had a bit more movement around him. He's really kicking on now which is a major positive going into the second half of the season.

Strong FA cup run and top 4 finish awaits methinks.

Sorry, I think your on the WUM or seriously delusional if you actually think that. We were fecking shite from minute 1 to full time. Rooney kicking on? Jesus.

After the penalty, there was no joy because he knows it was an absolute horrid performance and regardless of the win, he'd have to answer some very real questions.

Only good thing is that if he has the balls to play with the likes of Memphis, Martial, Lingard, Rooney and drop the likes of Mata and play with Schneiderlin and a player like Perreira and just give a go in the next few games. Doubt it though because today was the day to just let the team loose and didn't do it, not going to do it against Premier League opposition even if it is just useless Newcastle and a sorry Liverpool side.

So glad I didn't waste my time watching this match. Sounds like it was awful to watch.

It wasn't really bad, it was like all our other games but against Sheffield.

Why would anyone decent want to play here for anything other than money? Can't see why any top attacking player would want to play for him.

He's damaging this club. Far more damaging than being seen as a sacking club that's for sure.

I've actually moved over to fully loathing him now. I properly can't stand the bloke.

I'm feeling your pain. Can't stand the sight of him or anything that he says, I'm trying to blank him from my mind....

He needs to walk/resign before he absolutely destroys every last bit of confidence left in these players, staff and club.

Whoever comes in next will have an enormous task to lift them...

'Shredding his legacy at every turn'. He should of resigned before Xmas. He'd of left the game with more respect. The way it's going he's going to go out in terrible fashion.

It feels like the film Groundhog day, LVG as Bill Murray refusing to change his ways and get it right. Repeating the same uninspiring, bland, robotic football week after week. There is no excitement, no risk and no desire. How could you get excited to go and watch that every week? Van Gaal isn't going to change his ways. The board are the ones I blame, we are not chatting about giving a young manager more time. We are giving a stubborn man who refuses to change his style of play more time. A man who plans to retire next season who has spent a fortune, more time?

The club is being badly run. Look how Bayern have dealt with Pepe leaving half way through the season. They have Ancelotti lined up to take charge next season. We are going to turn into Liverpool and get left behind the way thing are going. We have the opportunity of getting Mourihno or Pepe and we have done nothing so far. People going on about Mourihno playing boring football, could it be much worse than this? I would prefer Giggs to the end of the season rather than this. This isn't an overreaction after getting beat, this is complete frustration at lackluster performances. We could get a new manager, who would have a window to bring in new players and salvage this season. Instead we will probably stay with LVG and achieve nothing. Being linked with and hoping a Southampton player can come and fix everything, what a delusion. It's not all doom though, we still have a good core of players like De Gea, Smalling, Schneiderlin, Herrera and Martial. We just need someone who can manage them that isn't Van Gaal. It's so depressing, I hope this nightmare ends soon.
