Blame Van Gaal all you want, and he does deserve some blame, but I've never seen a more gutless pack of cnuts play for United.

I pity any manager taking over this shower of shit.

LvG's doing his job to the best of his ability. Any anger should be directed to decision makers who have kept him this long despite the obvious.

I feel for van gaal, but the whole 2 games to save his job almost never works in reality, once players smell blood, it's over.

Yeah I'm not sure what tactics are going to prevent the first goal, when your player is stupid.
Biggest part of the modern game is man management and LvG doesnt strike me as the type that would put his arm around a player to help them through dips in confidence. He seems like the type that would put them out to dry.

For me that mistake by Memphis stunk of a player whos devoid of any confidence doing something stupid.

The players just look like they don't give a feck either. Looked like Moyes' last few games.

This. I just feel bad for him. No way to end an amazing career.

People forget that the Glazers are the problem. We have someone with no experience whatsoever of running a football club doing so, and that's nothing to do with Moyes or LVG.

Weve spent 18 months playing a brand of football were not suited to. No one is enjoying it. No one is comfortable playing it. Thats all van Gaals fault. What were seeing here is what happens when youre asked to play in a style youre not used to. Luckily, a certain Argentine had the sense to bail before it got worse. Im sure the rest want to as well.

Good riddance you dinosaur.

Is anyone here still backing LVG.... surely not anymore

I an watching the game now and I am so happy to see that LVG's slow and cowardly fooball is being punished senseless. If there is a single sane person in the board, LVG should get an axe in the half time.

I am so shamed that we are playing the worst pussy ass slow corward football. feck LVG. feck the board. feck those who can't see how fecking aweful and cowardly our football is now. feck YOU ALL!

Blaming the Glazers for LVG's absolute appalling management! That's a first.

Get rid of LvG, Rooney, Memphis, Mata, Jones, Fellaini and build again and again. 2,5 years of crap.

This is far worse than Moyes ever was, Moyes was simply out of his depth but at least he showed some passion and he tried to make things better.

LVG has got away with worse, spent so much money and we are now worse than Moyes reign. I despise the fugly arsehole.

The damage has been done now he should've been sacked weeks ago now we're going to Miss out on champs league again.

What a fecking surprise  We all know he should have gone after Bournemouth, but the directors decided to allow him to feck our season up even further before doing the inevitable.

Sad thing is, I can't see him getting sacked before the Chelsea game.

I said I feel sorry for him you cretin.

Having thousands of people singing you getting sacked in the morning is not a nice way to end your career.

Surely he's gone after this. I hope to god whoever comes in gets rid of the so called senior players as well.

True. And Moyes didn't spend £250M on players either.

Though the two players he signed has been pathetic for this club esp. Fellaini but Mata not far behind actually consider what we expected.

The players look more fearful than fearless. We clearly need some leaders in the dressing room.

Agreed with this.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Why wouldn't he go back to the 4141 that worked so well last season. What were we playing at? The players are all over the place. Shambles.

It's sad that we'll have to let another manager go so soon. He is done.

His arrogance and way of talking as though everyone else in the world is an idiot makes it easy to dislike him.

No need to throw around insults.

Plus, I don't give a toss about a man earning millions failing to do his job. Boo fecking hoo. Useless man earning millions fecks his job up and gets sacked.

Get the worlds smallest violin out.

100% agree. The signs were obvious. Hoping for it to all change was living in a fool's paradise.

The question is a lot of us saw this a long time back. Why has it taken United to realise the absurdity in keeping the guy in the job for so long?

I've defended him in the past, but I have but it's been impossible to do that for a while. Wrt the 4-1-4-1 that worked so well, if it ain't broke why fix it?

What's everyone's view on what to do now?

I wanted Van Gaal out before this game but since we're now at this stage, and losing again, is it worth sacking him to give the new manager a day to prepare for Chelsea? If we do go for Mourinho I'd be more inclined to let Giggs see over the Chelsea match than risk losing to Chelsea in Mou's first game when he'll not be able to have much impact if any.
