I’m happy he’s actually said something directly to him this time - Mou is such a washed up, bitter has been.
Wonder if his England manager will make a comment on Mourinho quotes.
As someone said it is all about the fact he signed for us and not him at Chelsea. Bitterness personified. It’s easy to say Mourinho’s comments are just punditry… but if so, it’s just bad punditry.
Like focusing on a few corner kicks rather than how Shaw actually played very well and has created more chances in this tournament than any other England player, despite playing just two out of three.
When it comes to Shaw, Mourinho could never just give him praise… he has to have a dig about something. It’s a bit weird. At the start of the tournament he was saying that he would not start Shaw because Chilwell is a better player. Since the tournament started he had a dig at him for not being attacking enough against Scotland when it could have been Southgate’s instruction. Also the odd corner kick focus in the last game.
Based on Shaw’s recent performances this season and in this tournament so far… he’d deserve far more positive comments than any negative by any pundit that was being remotely fair.
Jose is on Talksport breakfast show tomorrow and they are squealing with delight at the fallout on it's way.
Don't think it's that. Moucunt has gone too far with Shaw now to be able to accept he was wrong. It's one thing for a player to not perform but he made it very public and even resorted to that weird as feck interview about my brain + Shaw's body to justify a good performance. He's criticized him so much that he's nailed his balls to that mast and being an egotistical Twat that he is, he'll do everything to downplay Shaw's performancesAs someone said it is all about the fact he signed for us and not him at Chelsea. That man just a king of media manipulation. Shaw shouldn't have bite that but he did. Now he will talk about Shaw s trophy counts and all.Jose is on Talksport breakfast show tomorrow and they are squealing with delight at the fallout on it's way.
It does. He has been their expert pundit for the Euros. Would much rather listen to Stuart Pearce.Doesn't that say it all
Except at football matches nowadays. That man just a king of media manipulation. Shaw shouldn't have bite that but he did. Now he will talk about Shaw s trophy counts and all.
His every touch in football hereafter put under microscope. Shaw can't win this war and will be under immense pressure. Jose wins always. That man has no shame. Will be laughable if he is on your side but that bitter man will go any low to score one over.
Didn't he basically say he was fat and thick when he was here. No wonder Luke is annoyed. He can't give credit where it is due and when he does he has to make sure he gets some credit for himself in there.Don't think it's that. You’ve got a big fat zero winners medals so who gave you the permission to have an opinion on Luke Shaw?
He will get pulled in soon enough. Mourinho will surely make a response to Shaw.If managers had to make a comment every time a paid pundit slags off a player, they'd have no time to do anything else.
Best thing Southgate can do for Shaw is to keep picking him and not give this story more legs.

He already has. Jose was sacked, Shaw was the best LB in the league last season and is back in the England squad.
As much as this is unfortunate for the players, that's most likely the case.Jose is talking shit because at the moment he is paid to talk shit and generate clicks for Talksport or whoever else he has sold his soul to.
There's no "winning" this sort of thing. You only become a loser for actually engaging with it in any way other than derisive laughter.
Probably, but that is fans unfortunately. You would expect a manager not to voice that sort of stuff in public.Sounds like 85% of this forum's opinion on Shaw for a few years!
Roma might well sack him but hope he won't do any media duties. That man will become superstar if he do media work.I hope he gets sacked at Roma within a month and is back crying on Skysports about how the football world forgot about him.

After completely sidelining him and treating him like shitOle wanted a new left back to compete with Shaw. Mourinho wanted one to replace him.
More a case that Van Gaal called him fat and Mourinho called him thick.Didn't he basically say he was fat and thick when he was here. No wonder Luke is annoyed. He can't give credit where it is due and when he does he has to make sure he gets some credit for himself in there.
Think he has grown up, he has a family now, so partner might be making sure he eats correctly and has a quieter lifestyle.More a case that Van Gaal called him fat and Mourinho called him thick.
There clearly has been an issue in the past with Shaw, which has changed as he's matured. The difference was that Van Gaal was just being typically forthright and there was never anything personal or malicious about it, and he dealt with it by putting him on a fitness programme, whereas Mourinho (also typically) set out to undermine him. I don't know if he thinks it's just " tough love", but it's certainly dinosaur management tactics from the days of Brian Clough.
I forgot about that.Mourinho never got over Shaw's brother calling him a clueless cnut.
van Gaal wasn't being malicious but I think he could've handled it better. There was no need to tell the press that Shaw was overweight. He was an 18 year old that was just bought for £30M and clearly he wasn't the most confident lad. He struggled in his first season due to a lack of confidence but he looked amazing at the start of van Gaal's second season before the horrific leg break. I can't even imagine what was going through Shaw's mind when he broke his leg. He probably thought there was a good chance his career was over. He finally recovers and returns to a manager that can't stand him and treats him like shit for no reason and people wonder why he's responding to Mourinho who is still taking digs.More a case that Van Gaal called him fat and Mourinho called him thick.

Absolutely. Shaw has kept his mouth shut throughout.Mourinho tried to marginalise Shaw and essentially ruin his career, I think he's more than allowed to defend himself publicly if he wants.
The comments Jose used to come out with were frankly pathetic - the one about him defending for him mentally was such a piss take.
