I agree we need Muff right now.I think we have quality bar the MF and RB. But we dont work hard enough.
We badly need a MF who doesnt just pass five yards in front of him like Mctominah does every game.
His post match interview after the Wolves fiasco was telling. He also praised Jones, rightly so. Had a very slight dig at the manager about "new ideas".
Its clear the dressing room is split.
They were playing poorly, no doubt about that, but they didn't down tools on him is what I meant.Seriously?

This honestly is a problem and speaks volumes about his attitude. Not good, not good at all.
We really don't have a single forward that is good out of position and Ralf hasn't managed to change them as of yet. Only Bruno works well against the ball but he's all over the place too more often than not.
Thanks. That's the full interview? I don't see anything wrong with that. I want them frustrated. What do we want him to say? Certainly don't see any attack on the manager there.Man Utd defender Luke Shaw: "Not good enough, we really struggled, we couldn't get hold of the ball and when we didnt have the ball we weren't agressive enough. We didnt put them under any pressure.
"It maybe looked like an easy game for them. A disappointing performance and result. We didnt have many options on the ball and we weren't on the front foot.
"We have to put more pressure on them, we have to have intensity. Us players, we have been here a long time, maybe tonight we struggled, I didnt think we were all there together. You look at the players we have, we have unbelievable quality but sometimes quality is not enough.
"We need to bring the intensity and more motivation. Inside the dressing room, we know what we want but out on the pitch we need to give 100%. To win these types of games we all need to be 100% committed. It is tough and disappointing.
"One thing I will say is Phil Jones should be proud of himself. He has been criticised for years, and has gone through a lot, but he is so pfrssional and he has trained heard anmd he was phenomenal. He was exceptional, I am very happy for him and he deserves it."
Losing by a big margin doesn't mean the team has downed tools though. It was a mess in the end but the players all seemed to like Ole, some for the wrong reasons but there will have been a lot of players who felt very strongly about him losing his job. They’d clearly stopped playing for Ole too. We lost 4-1 to Watford…the divide in the camp happened long before Ole went.
Good interview. Seems like a decent lad.
He said, “more ideas” - this is totally acceptable. He suggested the manager of only a few weeks could offer more ideas regarding a new system the team have been asked to play and you’re judging his attitude!?This honestly is a problem and speaks volumes about his attitude. Not good, not good at all.
people should watch the interview before reacting to the hyperbolic misquote in the thread title
was a good interview
They used to play with three CB's, instead of packing the defence they now pack the midfield, but still have people in there who can spray passes. As I mentioned elsewhere, their performances have deserved more points as they are incredibly hard to score about, create chance, but struggle to convert them.Rangnick is saying wolves played with 5 mfs, controlling the game in the middle. Surely he could have seen this happen prior to the start of the match. Surely.

We conceded 5 at home to Liverpool, 4 away to Leicester and then lost 4-1 to one of the worst sides in the league. There were definitely issues behind the scenes - I don’t think that issue was Ole ala Jose in that they hated him - but something has clearly gone very wrong since the Leeds game. That’s the most together and connected I’ve seen manager, team and fans since Fergie and it’s been pissed up the wall since. Half of them can barely be arsed to run - and when they do it’s in an individual look at me way when they have zero chance of getting the ball. We’re a fecking mess.Losing by a big margin doesn't mean the team has downed tools though. Especially with Carrick remaining behind for a while, I'm sure he let a few know who weren't pulling their weight before he left, a big upheaval/change like this can be a trigger.
I agree. Its like 'well hes only here for 6 months and ive still go x years contract, and will be here after he has gone.' If were out of the top 4 end of the season RR will be manager again next season. No top manager will come if were out of the ch lge. This lot aren't going to listen to Ralf and his MLS coaches, they think they are better than it and know there will be someone different at the end of the season anyway. We're in trouble.
It was a comment at the end of an interview where he basically said that hopefully the managers new ideas would help them get out of the rutt they are in.
Yup this is it, that midfield has got us where we are.Two massive issues for us.
First one is our midfield is one of the weakest in the entire league. An aging Matic, McTominay and Fred is a ridiculous midfield to have when you want to challenge for top honours.
Secondly, too many players just don't seem bothered.
Yeah In the first half Shaw was exposed quite a few times because of it, guy had the right wing to himselfRangnick is saying wolves played with 5 mfs, controlling the game in the middle. Surely he could have seen this happen prior to the start of the match. Surely.
I don’t think it was a dig at the manager at all. ‘We have a very long training week, maybe now the manager can bring in some of his new ideas’.His post match interview after the Wolves fiasco was telling. He also praised Jones, rightly so. Had a very slight dig at the manager about "new ideas".

OK what's your thoughts on it then?Disagree. Players stopped playing under Ole and Bruno had the angry face look for many weeks prior to Ole being sacked.

Agree about movement. I always think this when DVB is playing. He gets the ball and then looks around for someone to pass it to and nobody has moved an iota. Also he does a pass and then moves himself into space and they pass the ball sideways or backwards. It has been a problem for years.Well then the opening quote was clearly misleading, I mean you even quoted it, not like I said he said that. Tbh sounds like a very honest and on point analysis from Luke there.
And yeah he speaks about an important point that I have been raving on about for years now, our off the ball movement is unrivaled in its shittiness, players never move to provide passing options, it's just atrocious.
Of course it did.
Honestly if we were going to back Pogba then we should have mutually parted with Mourinho in the summer and everyone could have saved face but instead we let it descend into chaos knowing everyone was pulling in a different direction. We are so badly run it's actually hilarious.
