Luke Shaw | Deal done! Almost...

Either believe him or don't. He may be telling the truth, he may be lying. Is there anyway to prove it? I don't think so. Shaw was widely expected to join prior to his comments anyway.
He's been in other threads claiming he knows Kroos is close and expects Reus to sign. Worded it like he had some sort of link and then back tracked. He's a proven bullshit merchant. Shaw is odds on to sign for us so he's used that to try and make out another link and make a name for himself. You'd be daft to believe it.

It's the sort of shite you see on twitter on a daily basis. The whole point of the newbie forum is to prevent the likes of him polluting the forum. Christ knows how he got promoted.

I don't think anyone actually believes him though. He's almost become a parody in his short time here, but I think it's just harmless fun. Perhaps his tagline should reflect his baloney.

Luke Shaw almost a done deal

Manchester United could wrap up their first signing of the summer soon, reports MEN Sport's United correspondent Stuart Mathieson.

The Reds are 95 per cent there with the move according to our reporter Stuart Mathieson.

And now the new management structure is sorted with Louis van Gaal appointed boss and Ryan Giggs his assistant, the path should be cleared for Shaw to sign.

In his weekly Talking United interview, Mathieson also said that Van Gaal's contacts in Holland could see some exciting young Dutch players come into the frame.

This worked an hour before van Gaal was announced...

He's coming.

If it was a one-off, just ignoring him would work, yes. But it's not - every year there's one new poster desperate enough for attention to try the ITK route, embarrassing themselves and everyone else in the process. In pursuit of sensible discussion, it's worth making it against the rules.

Sensible discussions and the transfer forum during transfer windows has never really meshed, has it?

it was the same crap with GoldTrafford

pretended to be ITK but posted rumours that had already been published.

if you're going to pretend to be an ITK at least go out on a limb, and be prepared for the consequences if you're making bs up

Hmm, fair point. But people having a laugh with some rampant muppetry is not irritating in the same way as this weird, earnest attempt to make people believe something that is clearly untrue as a sort of childish bid for attention. You're almost doing them a favour by stopping them from doing it.

Sadly true

This is also true, but letting the wannabe ITKs spout their dross is its death knell.

It doesn't especially bother me. I'm just saying I understand why the modmins have decided to make the rule.
Me too. Anyway, he may not last the summer at this rate. He may learn though.

In other news, Shaw certainly seems a goer. I wouldn't be surprised to see him signed by the end of the week. A lot of people may be changing their opinions on Woodward by the end of the summer.

The Mirror going with it now too.

Southampton's Luke Shaw is ready to sign for Manchester United - and has started looking for a new house.

England's young World Cup left-back has decided to make the big move to the Old Trafford giants, with the clubs haggling over the final £27million-plus fee.

The transfer should be completed in the next few days, as Team Shaw are now happy with all aspects of the switch.

Shaw's family had reservations about the Saints' teenage star heading to Manchester from their base in Surrey.

But now the Shaws are actively looking for a new address in Cheshire to make the big move north - a major factor in the decision.

A source close to the family said: "Luke is still only 18 and his family want everything to be right for him. Where he lives and how he adjusts to a new city is a big thing for them - but now they are convinced about the move."

Shaw would collect a massive contract wherever he goes, but his close-knit family wanted him to be at home in his new surroundings.

Both the United deal - and the house move - should be sorted out shortly, with Shaw's agents waiting to finalise terms this week.

I changed my mind about him after the Mata transfer, and after reading stories that Moyes scrapped deals for Garay, Thiago etc.

Excellent news. Will be a great signing and the LB spot sorted for years to come hopefully!

The MEN is shit for United transfer news. Everyone thinks because they are in Manchester, they are ITK. But they're actually useless.

Who was the poster who claimed months ago, before he was even linked with us, that'd he join? At a time we all assumed he was eventually Chelsea bound?

So apart from that ITK crap it looks like a done deal. Not that the Mirror are not bulshitters as well...

I thought Cina said "gobbing" for a second there. Changes the mood of the post somewhat.

There were rumours the bid was made in January and the offer was "left on the table" so to speak, because Southampton didn't want to sell in January.

Can't remember where I read that though, might have a twitter "ITK" account.

MEN are saying it's 95% done (whatever that means), and according to Mirror he's already looking for a house in Manchester.

The final 5% of the Toure to City deal was a box of Dunkin' Donuts.

Cleverley done, but I'm not Shaw it Mata's. Stop being such a Bebe.

 Doesn't quite work that one, but close enough.

Maybe transfers are like downloads or something?

Just waiting for the last few megabytes.

Or, is that how much of the paperwork has been printed off? page 19/20 has been printed, just waiting for page 20.
